  1. Hat's off to Penn. Played a great game against the Hounds! BTW smashmouth.. Viktrup was a 2 year varsity starter (not 3). He wasn't in the mix his sophomore year, although it does seem like he's been around forever. Isaac James and John Lampe were at the helm when Viktrup was a sophomore.(unless you're talking about his Freshman season)
  2. Totally Agree... I read that Central Indiana football was ranked 3rd in the Country 2 years ago. How Purdue and IU don't grab the top talent from the State is ridiculous.
  3. Never quite understood this but how is a fake field goal a legal play when the holder has a knee down when he first gets the ball. In college and high school, why isn't the play ruled down once he catches the ball IF he decides to run?
  4. In high school, is it legal to spike the ball while in the shotgun in order to the stop the clock.... thx
  5. There was a 5 yd face mask called during the Carmel/Pike game. I thought the 5 yd penalty went away a few years ago. Please advise.
  6. Kevin Wright at Carmel has 175 wins through 21 seasons.
  7. Not to sure about Cathedral being a major player in 6A when compared to MIC teams. They are 3-6 over the past five years (1-5 over the last 3 yrs) against MIC teams (Warren, Carmel, BD).
  8. Penn VS the MICx2

From your earlier post: For the Tech game, there were 2 starters on defense that did not play due to disciplinary reasons (another 2 non defense players that were also suspended for that 1 game). There were NO offensive players suspended for the Tech game. There was a off. tackle that was injured. Both QBs (Lampe #7 and James #13) were in the game although James (#13 played WR in the Tech game). Both starting RBs played the entire game(Perkiins #21 and Paschall #5). Not sure where you're getting your info but mine is extremely reliable.
  9. Yep, you summed it up pretty good. CG falls in 16th place among 6A schools at 2387 students. LN (20th) is the smallest in the MIC at 2309. Numbers do make a difference, especially when it comes to injuries. Also, the Wing-T offense requires 3 backs on the field at once; thus, the chance for injuries to the RBs is greater.
  10. I would have thought the opposite. CG was an experienced team and playing weaker opponents would have given them time to get healthy from the brutal MIC schedule. BTW, one of the papers quoted CG's coach as saying he didn't know how many times he could "do this" (assume he means come up 1 game short of the Championship game). Any thoughts on his future from CG Nation?
  11. Penn VS the MICx2

    Well stated Coach...
  12. That scheudle is BRUTAL!!! Good luck to you guys.
  13. Penn VS the MICx2

Penn fans, please just get over it already. You came into the game averaging 45 pts and giving up around 4 pts; could only come up with 1 TD and 2 FGs. You simply don't prepare yourself for playing the top MIC teams.
  14. What's your new prediction...
  15. For those who may not have heard, GD lost a huge football fan in Eric Paschall last Friday night. Eric, the father of Carmel's RB Shakir Paschall, fell ill during the Carmel game and later died at a local hospital. Our hearts go out to the Paschall family and Greyhound Nation as they mourn his loss.
