And my point is ,in most of the years of those blowout State losses, Penn was playing in state and out of state powerhouse teams . How did it work out for them ?

Castle barely beat North -- North literally fumbled away the win. North barely beat Harrison. Just sayin'

Wabash River Conference Week 4.

1. Considering the starting QB is one of the better athletes, I'd say it's pretty necessary.. especially with a team that has less than 25 kids on the roster. Put too many inexperienced/jv players on punt you give up punt returns. 2. Definitely a tough call. I did get a chance to watch this game. Their kicker did hit both PAT's previously, but this kick was another 10ish yards deep from a hash. I think they just took a chance with their all-conference QB and failed. -
Musta missed that...

Probably not, going camping this weekend. And I don't think it will be close, the Zebras should win easily. And even better at Prairie's field the visitor bleachers face East, so Rochester fans won't get the brunt of the setting sun. If you are looking for good food before the game I recommend the Oasis, on SR39 south in between Frankfort and Antioch. Best BPT in Clinton county.

But everyone isn't Tango. There was a news story about how they were so beaten down due to injuryies last year that this year was going to be a big rebound.
-
The do that for multiple rivaly games throughout the area. They do the Princeton Gibson Southern game each year.....which is a little more appropriate as they are starving for a win.

Big game at Clinton Prairie Friday night Mr. Muda. Any chance we will see you there? I know you are pretty faithful to Frankfort, but should be a good matchup Friday between the Gophers and Zebras. First possibly only matchup ever between the two. History will be made Friday. -
Or "WPPTT Bowl" - The "We Pay Property Taxes Too Bowl", which to me is far better than "The Hunger Bowl" that the Knights of Columbus somehow pushed through a few years ago. Its a great cause (St. Vincent dePaul Food Bank), but goofy name for a football game unless Jennifer Lawrence is there with the game ball...

I don't remember there being much hype..(?) I kinda expected there would be a some growing pains with a new QB replacing Morgan and losing Bobe at WR. I personally don't think there is a whole lot to take away from the results in the SIAC so far. I would say Reitz is the best. Central has some decent athletes but still has a long way to go. Bosse is going to struggle. Harrison gave North a scare, which is surprising. North coughed up two winnable games. We have a long way to go and need to get some injured guys back to beat anybody good. Haven't seen MD yet. Castle seems down a little from last year. 3 games this week intrigue me: Memorial at Mater Dei Reitz at North Boonville at Central

Peru shocked the conference last week with a win over Cass. Interesting matchups this week. How do you see the conference right now? Who ya got this week? Cass at Manchester Maconaquah at Whitko Peru at Northwestern Rochester at Clinton Prairie Southwood at Northfield

First_Backer_Inside replied to First_Backer_Inside's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Peru is better than anticipated. Athletes can scoot and the offensive line play is very impressive. I think they rocked Cass early and they just never recovered. Cass is good enough to regroup and have the senior leadership to still be well in conference contention. They are gonna have to probably run the tables though. One loss in conference play this year is not as devastating as years past. Two losses can cause for hitting the panic button. -
