  2. Well, well, well... We are back again. I think there is one for sure favorite in the conference but think there are 2-3 teams that can compete for 2nd place. Everyone will be chasing the Panthers but believe Seeger, PH, and FC can make some noise for that second place spot. Attica @ Faith Christian- Coach Dean is doing what he can at Attica and he is bound for some success this year. I think Attica can get a win early this year. I'll take the Ramblers winning this one. Carroll @ Seeger- Seeger has the skilled positions to be really good but do they have the guys upfront? I know they graduated a lot of those guys last year. I think Seeger is right up there to be battling for 2nd place in the WRC. Covington @ Tri County- Coach Wheeler is doing the right things at Covington he just hasn't had the guys to do it. I think the Trojans will start the season 1-0. Crawfordsville @ Woofs- The woofs are much improved from last year. I think they are another team that can compete for 2nd in the conference as well. Not sure what Crawfordsville has going on but I am going to take the woofs to win the season opener. North Central @ North Vermillion- North Central as some athletes and North Vermillion is still a few years out from winning some games. TBirds will start their season 1-0. RP @ Linton- Do the tenderloins have what it takes to win a big game? Some may say they haven't done it yet. Or in the wise words of Billy Bettis they are a one trick pony. Will Coach Oliver have what it takes to stop their run game? I think this may be the game of the week and game of the year until the late post season. I will take RP scratching one out over the Miners. Southmont @ FC- Do the Earls have what it takes to fill the shoes of Herb? I don't think FC is going to have a year like they did last year. With the QB out and them losing most of their lineman last year they may struggle in some games. I did hear they had a kid transfer out and then come back. I don't think they have what it takes to be the Mounties. West Vigo @ SV- Does Crabtree carry his hatred for SV with him? SV has some decent athletes they are still just a few years out from being a good football team. I don't know much about the Vikings this year... I will take the Viks over the Visors.
  3. Knox @ North Judson- Jays South Central @ Wheeler- Wheeler LaVille @Triton- Lancers Central Noble @ Culver- Central Noble Caston @ Whitko- Comets West Central @ Winamac- Trojans Northfield @ North Miami- Warriors Pioneer @ Lewis Cass- Panthers

  5. Did you enjoy being robbed of $.46 in exchange for a false sense of "convenience" that probably saved you what, 1 minute of time?
  6. Hearing big things out of Concord camp and some transfers that are helping. That will be a big game with Elkhart and the opening of their new stadiumn.
  7. The Illinois schools that I am familiar with that co-op for football are all very small, even by Indiana high school standards. We are talking grades 9-12 enrollments of less than 100 students for each school. Are there currently any Indiana high schools with enrollments that small that field a tackle football team? Not to my knowledge.
  8. The co-op proposal the IHSAA recently turned down had strict enrollment caps:
  9. Seeing some of the questions and potential answers on co-ops, I get why one may be hesitant toward the idea. Still, and I'm going to have to prepare myself physically for what I'm about to say, does anyone know what Illinois' rules and regulations are on this? (Excuse me, I need to go throw up now that I've put that out there...)
  10. Most schools use EventLink these days—in some form or fashion. A majority use them for scheduling at this point. It’s interesting to see how schools choose to handle their surcharge for their additional services. For example, to use EventPay for officials, there is a $1 charge per transaction. Some schools eat the fee, while others pass it into the official (example: paying an official $89 for a varsity basketball game as opposed to $90). For those that use EventLink at the ticket booth there is a similar fee, normally passed onto the purchaser of a ticket. Last night, at a soccer game, I used my card to purchase concessions for the first time. A $6 purchase came to a $6.46 charge, of which I am sure that $0.46 is the EventLink fee. Wild times…but it was convenient.
  11. I've got them at #13.............ahead of some pretty darn good programs. Think they should be higher? I think my big miss might have been Heritage Hills..............probably Honorable Mention consideration. The Top 25 is brutal. Lots of great programs in Indiana.
  12. Westfield has been doing this now for several years. Buy your tickets in advance online. I believe this started here with Covid, you know, money is not clean, don't want to pass around the virus.
  13. Eastern Pekin @ West Washington Jennings County @ Paoli Lafayette Central Catholic @ Mitchell Springs Valley @ Edgewood Switzerland County @ Crawford County Tell City @ Perry Central Brownstown @ Corydon North Harrison @ Salem Scottsburg @ Madison Silver Creek @ Charlestown
  14. Wabash has the highest enrollment 9-12 in Wabash County and not only does it appear they’re going straight 8-man this year (Manchester announced last night they’re playing Benton Central week-3 now, as opposed to Wabash), but they also cancelled their entire boys soccer schedule due to not being able to field a team. That’s crazy.
  15. That’s the exciting content people will be chomping at the bit to put their money down for! It’ll be a big hit in Fort Wayne! I swear to god it will.
  16. They used to say that about Crown Point ....... Until Buzz woke that sleeping giant..... I do not know anything about Homestead football other than I think my guy Coach Skelton was there at one point, coached in NS with him on our WINNING North Staff that year. As I Mentioned here last year, good friend daughter just graduated from Spartans Hoops last year and in the spring. On that note: BUY PIZZA HUT !!! and OLEYS
  17. What the hell does the last 10 posts have to do with the 23 guy being mad at Gonzos for asking for donations? I gotta go
  18. No love for the Mighty Trojans of Chatard?
  19. They fell off the radar last season. More of a "wait and see" kind of a team.
  20. High school pre-season polls aren't easy. I imagine there will be a lot of movement in the next couple of weeks. I give a lot of credit to last seasons performance. I believe you're at the top until someone knocks you off. I took the coaches poll into consideration. And a little bit of gut based one what I'm hearing in social media. Trying to give an unbiased opinion. If @temptation ever shows up, he can have the poll back. I didn't want to see the Top 25 go away in his absence.
