Hey, we wanted a week one opponent, and at this juncture it is hard to come by. From what I understand, they have fallen on some hard times the past two or three years in regards to numbers and experience. I want a challenge to guage just where we are as a team/program. I'm not concerned with a L or W. I just want our kids to be able to play in week one just like everyone else. This will be a great game to see where we are. Are they though? LCC, Ritter, Luers aren't near what they were a decade ago. Roncalli in the last year or two has rebounded and appears headed back to the Roncalli of old, but there was a decade or so stretch where they weren't your typical Roncalli team. Think you're naive to not think P/P's were impacted by the pandemic. Not every student at a private school is a Benz drivin, son/daughter of a Fortune 500 CEO. Not by a long shot.

Another cherry picked example on your part. For every Park Tudor, there is a Roncalli, Cathedral and Chatard out there. Here’s what you still don’t get... I am not saying that SES is the end all be all in athletics, but it is a MUCH LARGER component than you are giving it credit for. All of those other things I mentioned (culture, enrollment, coaching, etc) are also factors as it is not black and white. You just seem to get kind of butt hurt when I insinuate that a large component in Cathedral’s success comes from the fact that they are in an elite category in this regard. Its gone from cute to a bit sad honestly.
