  1. Keep in mind that both sides in this case are relying on the First Amendment … but different “rights” protected by the First. Coach is arguing that his praying immediately following a game, on the field, is protected free speech, and by prohibiting him from doing so, the school district violated his right to freedom of speech. The School District is relying on the Establishment Clause of the First, i.e., the clause that prohibits the establishment of a “state” religion. For me, this is the crucial aspect of the case. The coach was not fired because of the content of his speech, i.e., prayer. Rather, he was fired because the school district had been advised that allowing this to go on could subject them to civil lawsuits by students and their parents, claiming that the practice violates the Establishment Clause. They made every effort to accommodate the coach’s wish to pray following games. “Free” speech has never been absolutely free: the whole “yelling ‘fire!’ in a crowded theater thing. Speech is always subject to reasonable limitations as to time, place, and manner. The thing that makes it hard for the coach to win (I think) is that there is no evidence that the school district acted because of the content of his speech, i.e., a prayer. If this truly was only about the coach’s freedom of expression, there would be no problem with him doing it in the privacy of the coaches’ locker room, or on the field after the students had gone, both of which, IMO, would represent reasonable time, place and manner restraints on his protected speech, and both of which were offered as alternatives by the school district. But, as the following article points out, it depends which version of the facts you believe. https://today.law.harvard.edu/supreme-court-preview-kennedy-v-bremerton-school-district/ Although this is a Q & A with a Harvard Law Professor, it’s easily understood by non-lawyers, and presents a very clear and concise overview of the case, and explanation of the issues involved.

  3. Imagine that an entire story about this liver disease in both Bloomberg and the New York Times never once mentions or references this case report titled "A Case of Hepatotoxicity After Receiving a COVID-19 Vaccine." easily accessible using a quick google search.....Hmmmmm. Seems like someone doesn't really want the truth to get out maybe..... https://www.cureus.com/articles/80149-a-case-of-hepatotoxicity-after-receiving-a-covid-19-vaccine Conclusions This is a case of hepatotoxicity in a 14-year-old patient that occurred after receiving the second dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech BNT162b2 mRNA vaccine. The exhaustive clinical and laboratory evaluation failed to establish any other plausible etiology besides the vaccine. The purpose of this report is to raise awareness of this uncommon but potentially life-threatening side effect.

  4. Why exactly? Do you believe if Mr. Kennedy wins it will open the floodgates for repressed high school football coaches across the country, and they will all start praying on the 50 yard line at the end of games? Which to be honest I have never understood the need to do this, other than "look at me" proselyting.

  5. The Grove in Oxford MS is the pinnacle of college football tailgating. Fortunate to have attended on a few occasions. Went to an LSU game a few years ago while visiting NOLA on a bachelor party.

  8. Watched the Blue-Gold game yesterday and I know it’s hard to gauge from a scrimmage but the offense looked bad. No Tyler Buchnar meant Drew Pyne starting for both squads and he looked bad. In his defense he got no rest in between series and the wr core is limited by both scholarship players and experience but DP did not take advantage of this opportunity. (And he also physically did not look good with the half cut jersey showing of his stomach 😳 ). Maybe the defense is just that good (hey they did tackle) but don’t think there’s much doubt the Irish need help from that portal at wide receiver and perhaps quarterback.

  10. Liar Post HERE all you want. You have never had a post deleted in this forum.....where these posts belong. You were told to keep it off the main football forum. You refused to do that.... and posted multiple times. It had absolutely NOTHING to do with the facts you posted. It was COMPLETELY about where they were posted. I have said the exact same thing God knows how many times. I am not sure why you cannot comprehend it.
