So you’re telling me you don’t want CG in the tournament? Why? How would that benefit you or the IHSAA? You want those kids at CG to suffer because adults made decisions that seem ridiculous to me.

Go back and read my comment again. CG didn't run away from any Indiana high schools. Just the opposite...they had to work their tails off looking far and wide to fill their schedule. Perhaps you should ask Carmel why they took their ball and ran home, opening up a game originally scheduled for week 2. Or why Ben Davis dropped CG for IMG (out of state) in week 4. And while any CG fan hope that playing a far tougher schedule than even their normal tough schedule bears a return on that investment for the post season, it certainly does not guarantee success in the playoffs. I think you know this...

That's kind of my thought on this. It's not like CG ran away from or gamed the system. On the other side of the coin, folks would be flipping their wigs if, to avoid having to find stout out-of-state competition, CG loaded their schedule with a bunch of in-state 2A/3A schools with an open week of play and maybe a promise of the gates. That doesn't help anyone. If that's going to be a rule, then the IHSAA needs to step in, decommission all of the current conferences, and go to districts with assigned membership. I'm sure that'll go over like a lead balloon.

I am an angry guy that lacks integrity. OK....You must be a true peach during dinner time conversations. Then the IHSAA needs to step in and help them. It isn’t CG’s fault teams will not play. That’s pretty much stating that you can get a group together to not play a certain school because you don’t want to compete against them in the tournament. By the way, I do not think that is an actual rule.

you came up with an arbitrary 5 game in-state number to be able to play in the post-season tournament. Whether I agree with you or not on the that number, my point is that CG had an in-state schedule of 5 in-state opponents, until 2 of them balked very late in the game. I will also reiterate that its a good thing your vote doesn't count. Get used to it.

557 to 511 seems to suggest other factors than just "small community class fluctuation" ....A business shut down? Another school opening up? Programs being cut at the school?? In Social Studies class we call these things "push factors" .... You don't see any "push factors" that have driven down enrollment?

Maybe there will be changes, there will not be... My whole issue with this is that DT, Jim Reamer, and others (?) have posted that this has already happened (which it has not). I am so tired of media and everyone wanting to break the news that they get it wrong with absolutely no repercussions.
