FOOTBALL The Kingsmen go from having five conference games in 2023 to having seven next season in 2024. Penn is dropping Hammond Morton and Cathedral from next year’s schedule, and canceling the Carmel series that was scheduled to start in 2025. Penn will be adding South Bend Riley and South Bend Washington to its schedule next season. “We’re happy that we’re able to keep our rivalries with Valparaiso and Mishawaka weeks one and two, and we look forward to new challenges in the NIC,” Football Head Coach Cory Yeoman said. This is why they need a whole new mindset in the football program from admin through the coaching staff, if they both agree on this kind of schedule annually. They will play only one 6A school (Elkhart) every year now unless they leave the NIC or drop those traditional rivals of 5A Mishawaka & Valpo, which do nothing to show them the play speed and player strength of the HCC, MIC, Carmel & CG. How sad....."new challenges"

This has been botched from day one. These families have been thru hell and those two young ladies demand justice. All starts with Doug Carter and it filters thru the entire system.

Penn administration and coaching seem to care more about the perception of a winning program then actually having a program that is respected by the Indy teams....Penn is an after thought in 6A football... They pissed away their chance against CP to maybe prove something, and now with this laughable schedule, it wont get any better. Adams, Washington and Riley provide you nothing in prep for what is ahead.

I wish I could give you records of the JV and Freshmen team, however Penn doesn't post results on their sites. I am currently scrounging for the info. I doubt I will find it. For a large 6A school, they really do a crap job at getting and putting info out.

Beyond time for that monster to stop flaming out out early.

The Cicero Red Devils(my elementary alma mater that had converted from a High School in a consolidation in the 50's) made it to the 1916 State Finals after a rather controversial Sectional Title game against Anderson. Aiden Labhart from Perry Central, Jackson Barnett from Scottsburg, and Konner Chase from Springs Valley all made the Indianapolis Colts Academic All-State Team. Congratulations to them!
