  1. I like your suggestion and the premise behind the rule (not having kids transfer right before senior year).....but....this first year, they need to let the current Juniors make the move. They can do it now or face the onslaught of litigation later.

  2. Before @Irishman gives you his interpretation of how to read it... As a one man said under oath a while back: "Can you define what 'it' is?"

  3. Saw where Seymour’s Jaylon Johnson has committed to Indiana State. Fine young man, I wish him nothing but the best. https://www.facebook.com/SeymourHighSchool/

  4. What I'm hearing on Bedford: It's between 3 in house/local guys, and a coach from Texas. Guy from Texas is interviewing this week. It's my understanding his wife just took a job locally. As far as teaching, the only real hope is that the strength coach retires, which gives this guy from Texas an opportunity for a teaching job. Outside of that, don't think there will be any thing open at the HS. With Jeff Hein leaving for Mitchell AD, not sure what they will do with his classes. I think he was business and maybe study hall??? Could be wrong on that, but I do know the HS lost 5 teachers last year and did not fill the positions. With the dropping enrollment numbers, I think they are trying to slowly trim down the staff at the HS. Should know more in a week or two.

  6. Wanna wager (friendly) he will eventually flip to LSU or Texas before signing day? IMO, these early committments these days are just to leverage for a better offer (as in MONEY) for the local school, I opin that the move to OSU verbal is to leverage LSU to not come short on the package expecting him to take the home town discount. Just my theory

  7. Unintended consequence of NIL … or is this one of its intended results? Olivia Miles is a standout guard on a very good Notre Dame women’s basketball team. Graduating this Spring, with a year of eligibility remaining, she was expected to be drafted as high as the #2 pick in the upcoming WNBA draft. But she shocked people by declaring — not for the draft — but for the transfer portal. She will likely make more $$ from NIL at her new school than as a rookie in the WNBA, Angel Reese’s outrage notwithstanding.

  8. I agree...As I read it "during your first 6 semesters" could very well mean before the end of the school year your junior year. So whatever date your school year ends, then time is up. Note: I am not saying that is how I read it, but that some could read it that way.
