  1. My issue isn't so much the transferring, it's the public spectacle of creating a clevor social media post to pat yourself on the back while publically announcing you've quit on your coaches and teammates.

  2. Just the overall, free to abandon your team at the first sign of "holy shit, I have to do it the coach's way." It's like Coach Knight said, "If we can't just drop a kid because we changed our mind, then why can they." Now, that might be a bit extreme, but you get my point. The "pathetic" comment pertains to certain aspects, not the entire picture. Go Clemson.

  3. While that show was beyond ridiculous, I think you can look further back. The broadcasting of signing day and the spectacle that is made by so many has contributed to it as well. For so many, the theatrics are way beyond ridiculous. I am not going to attack or even judge the kid in this one. When you see high school athletes using the terms that the college players are using to announce their commitments, it is a bit much.

  4. No idea. Regardless, I’m certainly not going to second-guess the young man for making a decision based on whatever factors were important to him. And for the record, I abhor the “look at me” culture of young athletes today. But clearly, it’s simply reflective of that attitude in the non-athlete population as well. It’s a generational thing.

  5. Asking honestly here because I’m not very familiar with Penn or Elkhart—what new opportunities will this athlete have and how will those opportunities be more maximized at Elkhart compared to Penn?

  6. The owner of the Culver’s in Corydon who also built the one in Jeffersonville but sold that lives in Floyd Central Schools bounds, his kids went there. So no, but as close as they can get otherwise 🤣

  7. Penn to Elkhart trying to maximize his opportunities. Interesting considering the history of both programs.

  8. Hence my "pathetic" comment. You get it. The other part of it derives from "poaching." Coaches, they know who they are, will do it. Again, middle schoolers are fair game. Leave the high school kids alone. Be a coach, build your program. Anyone can manage a bunch of athletes. Well, almost anyone.

  9. Nothing pathetic about a young man looking to maximize his opportunities.

  10. Yeah but do you have a Culver’s? That’s the true measure of success.
