I have had absolutely outstanding individuals offer opinions on the 3rd team on the field, and THOSE opinions are well founded and appreciated. Who "opted" to play up? Seriously, I am not aware of a school that did this.

According to who I spoke with.... Wentz fumbled the ball (not 4th down). It was picked up by a Colts lineman, and immediately blown dead. Did we miss something on that one? I thought the "Holy Roller" rule only applied to 4th recoveries of a fumble, by the fumbling player? In this case it was killed immediately....hmm??? Why so?

It was NOT unanimous!! And there have been and will be schools that would pick up the "middling schools" of the SAC...Did before and MORE SO now! You that are PP supporters (moniker) are the people that are in line with the current system, IMO....its to your benefit. And conversely, the FWCS Schools are fine with the system in place.... Notice the vote total? Perhaps you should read the thread!

As we get to the end of the FB Season. I'd like to also say this sentiment applies to OFFICIALS also. The inevitable "complaint season" will start as soon as the rankings are given out. But crews (officials) fail to realize a Varsity schedule with 'comfortable teams', (the) same teams multiple times and/or just locally based schools; Does nothing to give you an understanding of multiple offensive/defensive schemes. Different coaching approaches. Different interpretations of rules applications due to your only seeing the 'same ole same ole week' in and week out. So as we ask for our schools to schedule tougher; I beg that our officials take an honest look at the games they select and schedule. Also, it is imperative that they officiate at ALL levels of HS FB during the regular season. Repetition and exposure to FB play is a great thing. Just my .02

Totally agree. And that something that seems to rarely happen. Another reason that I appreciate Coach Kirschner. Good Luck at WC!!!
