Unless you could care less about defense.... The Big 12 is terrible! I tuned into the TCU/Texas game, and NOBODY can stop anyone at all! It looks like a pee-wee league game with a couple of big dudes dominating all the time....and the other guys just running around. Texas will be the middling team in the SEC when they get there....nothing at all that tells me they will be a factor at all in that conference for the foreseeable future.

May I please an an addendum to your assessment.... And (the) MOMS are the icing on the cake! Trust me, we have noticed that before....☺️

I would never suggest that anyone just "give up". But it wouldn't have been out of the question for the trailing team to 'assess' the situation, and think about just whether or not an Education Based athletic event is best served in the long run with a potential 100+ point loss. The clock cannot run until the 2nd half, and it was 90-0 at that point. What is the motivation at that point for either institution? I don't have an answer, but I just am befuddled.

I'd asked about this situation before, and it is a convoluted mess, IMO. I would guess that Snider fans are (strangely) pulling for Homestead this week; Hoping to win out the rest of the way in order to get separation, and a clearer picture (head-to-head) with Luers on 10/15. Even a Luers stumble wouldn't change the implications of the Week 9 contest, if Homestead gets past Carroll.

IO, I would have to have had an understanding of the offending player PRIOR to this foul in order to assess if it would have warranted an ejection. On just a basic, look at the play...and the tone/tenor of what we look for in HS FB... I'd send him to the showers, and hope that he learns a lesson for 2 weeks.

We had a game in 2007, Where a 1-8 Columbia City squad beat a 6-3 East Noble team that was prepped to play Bishop Dwenger the next week, by a 52 yard FG at the final buzzer, in the 1st Round. So I am positive that 48 yards isn't the "record" for post season. You could have heard a in pin drop when it went through the uprights!

Coach Sauder dominating the match, but in the end...Coach Amstutz pulls a folding chair from ringside and gets in a shot. Ends with a DQ. And they sign a rematch contract for a later date.

Apparently helped East Noble (playing IN Conference), as THEY did play in the Regional the next week vs. Marion!
