  1. Welp. Only had this happen ONCE. Unfortunately, @Irishman was there and 'kinda' pointed it out. The "wings"...who should have been counting....bought drinks that evening! 😗
  2. Too many subtle judgements being asked of officials when it could be just done without having to 'think' all the time. In many ways, REVIEW has made the officiating we see on Saturday and Sunday a scary thing. It's like they know they can go to the review booth and get things solved or get overruled....So why make a hard/tough call?
  3. My "hometown"got hosed by the NFL.... STL So I guess that by proxy I am a Colts' supporter. But the 'Horseshoe' is a mess IMO. There's no reason they shouldn't be dominating the AFC South. This division is a disgrace to the NFL.
  4. Watching today's Jax @ Indy game... This is directed at Ballard and Reich:
  5. I ain't even close to be ready to rule out Columbia City. Seems like a season, for CC, (once past the Delta game on the road) that they have "righted the ship". . I have NOTHING to say about NP. Let's be serious, I mean really!!!
  6. That transcends the years that Snider/Penn would have been able to agree upon for extended contracts. The discussion was Snider/Penn...not Penn vs. Cathedral/St. X. Penn and Snider, IMO would be far better off to the Indiana FB faithful to face off with one another than the games that are in place....Indy Cathedral withstanding. As for the game in Sectional #2 this season...This will/can say alot about Northern IN FB in playoffs. I have a feeling that they/we are more formidable than most people are giving them for the tournament cycle. And as for Warsaw.... I am NOT EVEN GONNA get into saying anything turse about Coach Curtis. Let's leave that alone, and accept that Warsaw is doing the things that will make the Tigers formidable (no matter the outcome) in the North!
  7. I am pretty sure it was a "scheduling" thing. Penn had contracts that overlapped the SAC's transition period from a closed conference to the 2 open weeks starting in 2023. So it was on Snider to get teams set up. They went with Warren Central as one of the new match-ups, not sure about the other. I know the 1st Warren Central matchup will be at LOS next year. The 2nd will be on a Saturday at Spuller Stadium in 2024.
  8. Our crew had the 7-0 game at CG (2016). Up until that time, the best HS contest we ever had.... Great Atmosphere! Bad sight lines for fans I suspect with the 'old' CG stadium configuration.
  9. North Judson is a HELL of a team to occupy 2 spots. I had them earlier this year, but I am pretty certain only ONE BlueJay squad came onto the field that evening.
  10. I am going with Brownsburg @ Ben Davis. I honestly can't see a Carroll team that is dealing with a 'traditional' offensive scheme losing this contest. Now the 2nd Round (perhaps against Warsaw at Gorsuch?....that's a different story). Sectional #1 - Crown Point..is my choice. Sectional #3 has Fishers v. HSE written all over it. Sectional # 4 - Carmel/Westfield pick em
  11. Yes you did. But I don't think that you were that far off with the prediction. Ping Pong balls always screw things up.
  12. Thanks for the guidance. It had NOTHING to do with any of that. Personal situation between myself and @Irishman But, again...thank you for the rules. @JustRules Not at all. Less than 2 minutes left. And we were all just having a duh! moment for 2 plays.
  13. My physician told me I have an arthritic left knee. I knew at some point that HS/College injuries were gonna bite me. I can still run with the best.... Give me 6-7 years, and I'll consider surgery for a knee replacement. (until then) Cortisone is a hell of a drug! 😁 BTW: I'll take the Irish by 7 in this one.
  14. He does... I lit him up about that call when he asked me about it! And YOU know who I am....Mr. U2 🙂 As an aside, he married Hannah (meteorologist). You do know who HER Dad is?.... Greg Sankey, SEC President. It was cool talking to him off the cuff a few times about things. Great guy, better FAMILY. But terrible call. One last thing: Is it ok to have 12 guys on defense when it's a BLOWOUT, and all you are thinking about is....Where are we going after the game? Asking for a friend.
  15. Depends on the "crew" that has their game... Just sayin
  16. Could be. But that doesn't mean that FW hasn't made strides in their ability to be a force within their respective Classes. The top of the SAC is a force. Then there is Luers in 2A. I have faith that ALL will be fine (though not a State Finalist) in 2022
  17. This Thursday night Denver/Indy game SUCKS! I feel like I am being subjected to "Cruel and Unusual Punishment"!
  18. In my case @crimsonace1.. I stupidly didn't read the BASIS of the question: OT Rules. I feel totally silly with responding. And yes you are correct, the ONE POINT safety is a possibility. UGH! And so is an unbelievable fumble into the offensive end zone resulting in a defensive possession for a TD. DOUBLE UGH!
  19. Wow, I wish the crew had this contest. But no matter what, we will still officiate that which have, with the same gusto!
  20. Snider v Dwenger... easily the GOTW in the SAC
  21. Sorry @Bobrefand @EasyEJayf. I didn't realize/read that this was an OT situation. DUH! Absolutely correct with the killing of the play. DOne once the defense possesses the ball.
  22. Inadvertent whistle. Yes they can return out of the EZ
  23. There weren't 'options' for types of fields that could be used. Hell, back in the day, you had to hand crank the engine to start it...."Those were the good old days! Who needs this darned electric start thingamajig?"
