Is your crew a relatively "new" crew? Would the average "experience" of the top 3 members affect the vote/ranking? There are a myriad of factors that weigh into the system that is in use, that are beyond just meetings/games. As Bob said, "Control the things you can control, like meetings attendance, test scores, clinics, video review, etc. Let the other things take care of themselves." I have told numerous crews/indiviudals the same thing.... It's frustrating, but it can be educational as time goes forward to reflect on things that hadn't been considered as impactful...in the future. Having said that...let's take any further convo to PM on this subject.

And remember that not long ago, an official tore his ACL and that impacted both his officiating AND personal life. Sideline safety is a MAJOR factor that MUST BE adhered to!

I'll offer this. Wayne is in for a tough one this week without Haydock on the sidelines. Good luck to the Generals! They have come a long way as the season has progressed. NOW: Let's DEBUNK the social media's incorrect interpretation of why he was ejected. It had NOTHING to do with an argument regarding any call on the field! I spoke with the crew that officiated this game, as well as having watched the video re-play of the game. A 5 yard sideline warning was given in the 1st quarter. Approximately 2-3 minutes later the Line Judge ran into a coach on the Wayne sideline and a 15 yard penalty was assessed against the Head Coach (Haydock). Midway through the 2nd quarter on a Wayne kick return, a player on the Wayne sideline contacted the Umpire ... another 15 yard penalty was assessed. This in accordance with NFHS rules, resulted in the ejection of the Head Coach for this game, as well the next game (Week 9). Having said that, gonna be a great night this week in SAC for the crew! Then let the playoffs begin....

I am all about the NEUTRAL sites. But in some of settings that you have suggested, there's no way that they are close to being "travel neutral". Dwenger to Lafayette to play a Lafayette area school? Nope East Noble/Ole Miss at Homestead (who you say is still playing)...Norwell perhaps a better locale. Eastside/Eastbrook bypassing an EACS turf field?? ...pick any one the 4. AC/SA at Bluffton..better call in the National Guard and MANDATE the use of those facilities.

South Adams = ON A MISSION! in 1A Mooresville was a beast when they played Leo (on short notice). Not to diminish anything Leo did either. Gonna miss Snider/Luers this season, with a late season schedule change. But a year ending doozy, to prep for the playoffs with the SAC. Hoping to see 8-10 in the post season also....Great facilities at CC!!!

By next week, I will have officiated 9 of the 13 teams on this list. Not so sure that the list is true representation of the "abilities" of the teams. But to each his own, with the rankings. The postseason will provide a great opportunity to distinguish the differences...within the classes they each represent.

No disrespect to Leo. But after having officiated the Mooresville game, its apparent that they do need to diversify the offense in order to compete against the best of Southern 4A. Mooresville is absolutely formidable! And with QB who is a Sophomore (WOW)... That's not going to change for the next 2 seasons. As for the SAC, I won't count out anyone...week to week. Its all about the 'scheme and matchups'... Glad that they are playing games, IMO!

Telecast starts at 6:30 If Homestead us at hosting, that's the only broadcast that will not be sent via Summit City Sports online. Just an FYI....
