  1. Mr. Doyel at the Indianapolis Stat goes on a rant about this "speculation": https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/columnists/gregg-doyel/2023/01/03/anti-vaxxers-using-buffalo-bills-damar-hamlin-to-promote-covid-agenda-vaccine-bert-smith-ncaa-ref/69773059007/ Maybe HAARP.

  3. Sports world mourns the death of Pelé https://deadspin.com/pele-death-soccer-brazil-1849938591 Truly a World Icon. He will be missed.
  4. That looks to be a distressingly large drop in enrollment over a relatively short amount of time.
  5. Coaches change and players get screwed by the whims of the incoming regime change. It's time to stop this NIL nonsense and just make players paid employees of the University.
  6. Urban Sprawl. Lovely to see it in Tippecanoe county. Keep it there.
  7. Yes, I made it. The game was disappointing for the WildKats. Zionsville was controlling the first half, then young Mr. Bidunga left the game with about 5 minutes left in the 2nd quarter due to some kind of finger injury. That allowed Zionsville's big man to score like 5-6 additional points before the end of the half. I think Bidunga ended up with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks. The Kats got to within 5 points about halfway thru the third quarter but then the Eagles started raining 3's and it was pretty much over. Zionsville won by 11.
  8. https://www.cato.org/blog/road-government-childcare-takeover-0 The government can't fix this issue with more regulation, only less regulation and letting the free market serve these families will do.
  9. Says a guy with who knows what as his profile picture. Helping the economy: Adults are buying toys for themselves, and it’s the biggest source of growth for the industry: https://www.nbcnews.com/business/business-news/adults-are-buying-toys-s-biggest-source-growth-industry-rcna62354

It's at Kokomo's Memorial Gymnasium, one of Indiana true basketball palaces. That place should be rocking.

  12. Then there is this gem concerning the Colts: https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/nfl/colts/2022/12/18/colts-paying-fired-coach-frank-reich-9-million-a-year-through-2026-per-espn/69738622007/ Frank Reich, laughing all the way to bank.
  13. Yep, what a disgrace by the Colts. At least earlier today, 12/18/2022, we all got to the witness probably the best athletic contest of the 21st Century so far.
  14. Yet it is, just the same. What specific classes does a "Director of sports performance" teach? The word "Director" seems to indicate a primarily administrative position, something that has exploded in primary schools, secondary schools, and college/universities over the last couple of decades. Too many non-teaching, administrative positions and not enough, you know, teachers.

  18. Mr. Doyel at the Indianapolis Star is already gushing over the hire of Mr. Walters: https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/columnists/gregg-doyel/2022/12/13/purdue-football-goes-outside-box-to-hire-illinois-dc-ryan-walters/69724797007/ (Note: Commentary is behind a paywall)
  19. Congress Has a New Scapegoat for COVID Fraud: Banking Apps : https://reason.com/2022/12/12/congress-has-a-new-scapegoat-for-covid-fraud-banking-apps/ Government again refusing to point the finger at the true culprit in this fraud: themselves.
  20. https://reason.com/2022/12/12/not-guilty-still-punished/ So a judge can say "You were acquitted by a jury of this particular crime, but I think more likely than not you did it anyway so here's X more years added to your sentence." No, nothing unconstitutional not about that.
