  1. I think they’re in the process of working their way thru it. I’m not privy to the minutia but I think the end was accelerated.
  2. Her senior year Seymour lead the whole game, Jeff hits a couple of free throws with about three seconds to go to take the lead. They got the ball to my kid because she had the best speed and she heaves a Hail Mary from about mid court with two defenders…..and the one defender just kills her. So she’s going to the line down two with no time and three shots. And the moron assistant gets a T. You just let her off the hook! Then refuses to leave and throws her clipboard on the floor. Seymour wins by like 5. Just how they roll man. And personally I wanted to see how she performed under that pressure.
  3. And mad respect for what Chad Gilbert did with their women’s teams. I hated to see him leave coaching. I always enjoyed watching his teams. They played hard and we’re physical.
  4. During my daughter’s HS days, must have been her junior year, because Gilbert had already moved on. Jeff girls show up to the sectional with 13 players dressed. Mickey Beck had to go tell the coach they could only have 12. Then he had to tell one kid to go sit behind the bench, she couldn’t warm up, because I guess for some reason the coach couldn’t. Just another example of what a Mickey Mouse organization Jeff athletics is. I worked there twice and swore I’d never go back. Hated even going there.
  5. I no longer have to be PC, I don’t really give a shit anymore.
  6. We all know a certain former JC AD’s claim to fame was right? My wife could have coached that team.
  7. We were riding in there one afternoon on the bus and there was a dumpster fire behind the school in what appeared to be an industrial arts area. I have a picture on my phone somewhere, kinda sums up Jeff athletics.
  8. I will just say this, Ben Davis’s rise to state and national prominence seemed to coincide with Washington HS closing. But I’m getting old and my memory ain’t what it once was.
  9. I did not see Central this year. But the 8th grade class has some studs in it. They will mesh nicely with the frosh group. And East had the QB whisperer working for them this year. If he sticks around who knows.
  10. I believe they play Lawrenceburg every year which is typically the class of the conference besides EC, and they play Batesville which typically fills the roll when Lawrenceburg is off. EC isn’t dodging anyone, but they do have contractual obligation.
  11. EC has played the conference schedule they’re required to play no? Their non-conference schedule included Harrison (OH) Moeller, and Roncalli. Post season they’ve played who the ping pong balls said. I fail to see the point of this post.
  12. I think there’s a fair amount of football knowledge in this thread, particularly southern Indiana HS football knowledge. At least in n my case, hell a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.
  13. You don’t owe me an apology. I just said what I thought and that’s what I saw. And I’ll be completely honest I’d rather have bitching about no-calls than bitching about phantom calls. Make it big!
  14. I felt like there was possibly a couple of missed calls. However I’m in the stands a million miles away and they’re standing there looking at it. Having been in that position I know they have a vastly different view than me, I’m a lot less to question some of those calls. I know the Seymour fans were complaint about the South TD where the guy got the pylon. First and foremost I thought it was a great call. Secondly mechanically the L nailed it. My main complaints with them were administrative in nature and I won’t bore you all with the minutia. It was clear to me they were going to let them play and they would error on the side of not flagging. I don’t necessarily have an issue with that, and I felt like they were pretty consistent and the game was fairly called. I don’t think the officials had any impact on the game.
  15. Last time I saw it, it was a bunch of gay (not that there’s anything wrong with that) porn.
  16. I was relaying a story to a coworker this morning, I remember my daughter’s team losing an AAU game in the third grade 70-2. As I told my co-worker, I don’t really think her life was negatively impacted by that ass-whoopin.
  17. I stand corrected. I still like my chances at trivia night.
