  1. It might be long enough for his kids to get thru school.
  2. I suspect Lysander will be out of his coma soon and he would know much better than I.
  3. You will see a lot of names of former Ritter stars at Chatard. Chatard has always competed well, but with the steady influx of west side kids coming in, I could easily see them in 5A on SF in the next couple of cycles. Ritter’s loss is Chatard’s gain.
  4. It became much more frequent when all the Purichias, Adamses, and Cmehils started migrating from the west side. If Ritter hadn’t screwed the pooch no one would be talking about Lutheran, they’d be stalking about Ritter.
  5. I’m not a government employee, I don’t speak acronymese.
  6. I’ll be honest, prior to Radtke showing up I’m not sure I had ever heard of Knox. But here’s what will happen. Knox will be well prepared. They’ll have a great game plan and they will execute it to the best of their ability. And at the end of the day, they’ll lose to a better team, but they will show up and compete.
  7. One aspect specifically relating to Catholic schools that is often overlooked is multiple K-8 feeders feeding one HS. Looking specifically at smaller classes, but the fact that one HS might have 3-4 QB’s getting quality reps in MS, 6-8 RB’s, 15-20 OL, etc. While their public school counterparts have only one feeder school so competition starts in the 7th grade. Again looking specifically at boys how many public school kids lose interest because their classmates who matured sooner dominated all those positions in MS and walked away. Then the late bloomers are beasts when they’re upperclassmen but they’ve moved on to other things.
  8. They have 12oz Grape Gatorade too.
  9. There you go with them fancy lawyerin words. That doesn’t usually come out until the weeee hours and empty liquor vessels.
  10. I think EC competes very well this year in 6A. Chatard’s day is coming. I could see them moving on to 5A, depending of course on Memorial’s status. Who’s run in 4A has been impressive.
  11. Recent history says Memorial, Danville, Roncalli, and New Pal.
  12. I think they’re in the process of working their way thru it. I’m not privy to the minutia but I think the end was accelerated.
  13. Dude threw ONE flag all night, which he got right…..I love the internet!
  14. New attempt with better film. RPReplay_Final1699675609.mov
  15. I tried to upload the foul in question but it doesn’t seem to work. RPReplay_.3gp
  16. Her senior year Seymour lead the whole game, Jeff hits a couple of free throws with about three seconds to go to take the lead. They got the ball to my kid because she had the best speed and she heaves a Hail Mary from about mid court with two defenders…..and the one defender just kills her. So she’s going to the line down two with no time and three shots. And the moron assistant gets a T. You just let her off the hook! Then refuses to leave and throws her clipboard on the floor. Seymour wins by like 5. Just how they roll man. And personally I wanted to see how she performed under that pressure.
  17. And mad respect for what Chad Gilbert did with their women’s teams. I hated to see him leave coaching. I always enjoyed watching his teams. They played hard and we’re physical.
  18. During my daughter’s HS days, must have been her junior year, because Gilbert had already moved on. Jeff girls show up to the sectional with 13 players dressed. Mickey Beck had to go tell the coach they could only have 12. Then he had to tell one kid to go sit behind the bench, she couldn’t warm up, because I guess for some reason the coach couldn’t. Just another example of what a Mickey Mouse organization Jeff athletics is. I worked there twice and swore I’d never go back. Hated even going there.
  19. I no longer have to be PC, I don’t really give a shit anymore.
  20. We all know a certain former JC AD’s claim to fame was right? My wife could have coached that team.
  21. We were riding in there one afternoon on the bus and there was a dumpster fire behind the school in what appeared to be an industrial arts area. I have a picture on my phone somewhere, kinda sums up Jeff athletics.
  22. I will just say this, Ben Davis’s rise to state and national prominence seemed to coincide with Washington HS closing. But I’m getting old and my memory ain’t what it once was.
