Young people have died prior to the pandemic with “unexplained” heart failure yes? Are more young people, specifically young vax’d people dying at a higher rate that their non-vax’d counterparts? Or are we just hearing more about these “unexplained” heart events just being reported at a higher rate because it fits a narrative? Show me some smoke before dial 911.

I would echo @foxbat comments. We had Seymour on the front of our jersey that means we’re representing not only our school but our community. I even addressed it with our parents. I had very specific ideas on how we acted. I always felt like this went hand in hand with the states mission of education based sports.

In the post war era, real estate has been responsible for the most generational accumulation of wealth. There is clear evidence and an opportunity to find who was denied access to loans in the post war boom. Blacks were clearly discriminated against for loans. Is this a conversation we need to have?

Trolling Temp, not really I made the same comment to several friends the night of the semi-finals to a group of friends, most of which are in this board. If you’re the HC at Michigan you have one goal every year, and it ain’t beating Indiana. He’s 2-5 vs OSU and 3-4 vs MSU. There are teams that are in the mix regularly but the top spot seems to have more to do with who comes, who stays, and who decides to play in the FCS games, than it does actually recruiting kids and building programs. Until Michigan at the very least begins making the show regularly AND beating BigTen rivals regularly, yea, Harbaugh is OSU’s beotch.

Not all cardiac events are athletic career ending. I am still not aware of a definitive answer as to why this happened.

If you or your company is looking to donate some cash, the portable AED’s are not cheap. After our accident, all athletic facilities are equipped with an AED and our trainer has one.

While rare this is not that uncommon in bat and ball sports. I seem to recall a 12-13 year old baseball player around Cincinnatti in the not so distant past. You hear of this stuff occasionally. If you’re a coach PLEASE GET YOUR CPR TRAINING! I was involved in an accident several years back, CPR within seconds and local police with a AED responded within 90 seconds. If your school does not have an AED at every athletic venue, urge them to do so. I think most trainers have them as part of their kit.
