Thinking about the Harrison game vs BNL this morning. I know the folks in the SIAC thread talk about how bad Harrison is, but I’ve been around enough to know it’s just a little different football in the SW corner of the state. I’m going to take BNL but it’s a scary game, throw in a 2 1/2 hour bus ride, late start……

Just the fact you don’t think any of us know about Heritage Hills, their long and storied history, or their former legendary HC Bob Clayton, nor do you seem to know about the NFL players that said program has produced, is what I’m really questioning.

So if I’m understanding this correctly, you believe there was a little 3A school called Heritage Hills and this strength coach pumped them into a state caliber team….and all of this happened in the last few years? Is that about the gist of it?

No clue as to how the game was officiated, I know CE has been looking for a crew for this game since the beginning of the season. I can also confirm they got the fifth crew member about Wednesday last week. This is the new norm folks, and ain’t none of us getting any younger.

Why do I get the idea that if Indy opted to replace the turf at LOS with grass, you would post bitching about the cost and ridiculously expensive maintenance?

All of this info is in the fall bulletin. Sectional after all expenses are paid, schools divide evenly among themselves. Regional and beyond all bills are paid and the IHSAA gets the rest. Keep in mind, there are some expenses involved. We’ve work several tournament games with checks exceeding $100. That’s $500 just for officials. Don’t forget the ticket people, chain crew, press box personnel, police/security…….. Home team gets concessions I have no idea what the media deal is. Assuming IHSAA keeps all that

For those of you traveling from St Leon, I HIGHLY recommend Ale Emporium after the game. We usually go for the patio after the game. Live music, great food, and ice cold Coca-Colas.

Can a school that plays 11-man Football play an 8-man JV game? Can the quarters be switched from 10 minutes to 8 minutes?

I think you really have to read the room in this situation. Can you fudge things to kill some time, sure. But not at the expense of making a mockery of the game. It’s not that hard to find a kid who’s shoestrings need tightening up or the odd helmet snap that the kid is having difficulty with…..you can get a fresh 25 if need be.

I’ll be honest fellas, I took Seymour, but historically NA has been a thorn in Seymour’s side. Seymour has lost some games to them they shouldn’t have.
