  1. It should be noted historically since they joined the HHC, Seymour has not played well against NA. I think before anyone starts anointing them, might wanna wait till after that game.
  2. I haven’t really worked many lower level games since 2018. I have worked quite a few this year for a myriad of reasons. It’s been pretty chill honestly, until last night. I’ve never seen 52 points scored in a 7th grade game that I’m aware of. No problems. 8th grade game was a train wreck. A few too many 16 year old 8th graders, a couple of idiot coaches, a 28-0 game, and we’re off to the races. The 28 team, kid on the chains told me “yea he’s really good, he practiced with us (varsity) all summer, he was our best RB.” Throw in two of the four officials hired showed up, and 3 hours later… I’m in Friday mode….good luck to all the stripes tonight, stay safe and be the best team on the field.
  3. Mooresville at Plainfield 1989. I can tell you EVERYTHING about it. Conversely I couldn’t tell you what I was doing five minutes ago.
  4. I would much rather have a play with no whistle than an inadvertent whistle. When you have one there’s not a hole deep enough to crawl in. Plus it’s going to hit you in the pocketbook after the game.
  5. I find this very hard to believe. I think it is much more likely he was ejected and no report was filed.
  6. See leather. The ball becoming dead causes the ball to become dead, not the whistle.
  7. Looking forward to it coach, but it’ll be a couple years before I make my way back to FC. It might be next year, but I think it’s 24. I’ll be wearing a striped shirt with a white hat. I’m never hard to find either.
  8. Bob I understand what you’re saying but honestly have you been around MS football lately?
  9. Stevie Nicks is such a badass she wrote an entire album about how her ex sucked, then made her ex play the music and sing about it.
  10. The bottom line is neither R’s or D’s want them here, one’s honest about it and one’s not. The real issue as I see it is contrary to popular belief, these aren’t just poor Mexicans fleeing their homeland for a better life, these people are from all over the world.
  11. Kendall always treated me well and we continue to be friendly today. Not all of the conference coaches were as welcoming, but Kendall and I did have a bit of a relationship prior. I always said Kendall had the best coaching gig in the conference, Stevie took care of the pitchers and did all the off season stuff, Walker took care of the field, and Kendall showed up in March and looked like a hero. I told him after McIntosh graduated we’ll find out next year how good of a coach you are, and he re-retired. Good for him, he’s living his dream. Speaking of athletes Lisa McIntosh was a FREAK! She may not have been the best HS player I ever saw, but she’s certainly in the conversation. Good kid, good family, people you just root for.
  12. Kendall had a hell of a run in SB, local boy, and honestly when he came back from retirement he was the only person that could have held that team together. A final four team with some tremendous talent.
  13. Every PAT WH whistle. Every FG BJ whistle is over the radio, usually twice.
  14. Somebody’s buying a round of double shots!
  15. Not sure I’m following. I was assuming you were referring to kicking a FG after a fair catch or awarded fair catch.
  16. It’s not considered an awarded fair catch. R is merely awarded the ball.
  17. @coachmayi know you guys are often looking for frosh games.
  18. I had several issues that all seem to favor the home team. Visiting coach is a guy I’ve had a relationship with, I was honest, and we moved on. He won the game by two scores also helped.
  19. Had a nice conversation with the AD last night. You just root for guys like that.
  20. That was not an option last night. Only when forced to.
  21. Along the same lines last night I was working a throw together crew in a JV game. H throws his flag straight up in the air just after the ball is snapped. A 1/10 runs 11 yards. I stop the clock and go to the H, he’s got B lined up in the neutral zone. My options are: A) Go back to the original LOS and mark off 5 yards and replay the down. B) Wave it off. C) Give the signal and decline it. A’s not fair in my opinion. B’s probably the easiest. C seems most reasonable to me because it covers what happened and doesn’t penalize A for our mistake. It’s also going to be the most confusing when I give the signal. What do you do?
