  1. IMHO...we will get through it. It’s what winners do.
  2. We might see 2 weeks of games and 4 programs cancel....but most of the state will push forward.
  3. If Indy schools mess up the rest of the state will play without them. Keep in mind ...I think it takes a lot of "cases" before a school should be concerned.....quarantine...bring em back. Keep the cycle moving.
  4. That perhaps he said it VERY loudly...LOL.
  5. Multiple Coaches have tested positive around the state. It really isn't news.
  6. Covid: https://www.14news.com/2020/07/28/high-school-athletes-test-positive-covid-/
  7. I have to respectfully disagree. Unless there is a monumental failure in terms of how "cases" are handled, this shouldn't be that tough. As long as rudimentary case counts don't drive decision making, we can work through it.
  8. Yeah it was shut down from like March 23 to mid May. But running fine ever since with just basic common sense protocols.
  9. Lots of data on European studies for back to school....I won't go searching for you. Check out Sweden as an example and how teachers had lower risk relative to other occupations. Follow Newman Nahas on twitter.
  10. There are three Indiana schools that play an Illinois school on week two. Chatard, Andrean and Chesterton.
  11. If anyone closes anything for a "case"....they are doing it wrong. I have no doubt though in the more populated areas it could happen here and there. Lots of science showing it doesn't spread in schools.
  12. Reitz: https://www.courierpress.com/story/sports/2020/07/21/brunson-hopes-rebuild-reitzs-proud-program/5461492002/
  13. The Toyota plant in Gibson County Indiana has been doing it every day for months (3 shifts) with 7,000 people, most of them at a higher statistical risk based on age. They do it very simply with very limited resources. No one has died and a crap ton of Toyotas have been built.
  14. Do both while mitigating risk. If folks want to totally eliminate all risk from this virus...we need to all head home and not leave except to go to the grocery with an N95 mask on. I decided this morning not to cross the street to get my mail.....it just isn't worth the risk.
  15. I think they are saying the risk is small in terms of "a place to be" from a public health standpoint, they also consider the mental health benefits of kids being in school. I think everything they say is clearly from a public health frame of reference and I think folks take it that way. I don't think the CDC needs to employ factory workers in order to make a judgement on what safety protocols and risk tolerance is acceptable from a health perspective to open a factory. They might even have less of a hidden agenda than even say....a teachers union perhaps?
  16. I'm telling ya...the show will go on even with a chunk of schools not participating. Which is better than a condensed spring schedule any day of the week. Because one thing is certain, having to manage "cases" and preventative measures won't be gone in the spring either. Vaccine or not.
  17. I am hearing momentum has clearly swung to playing as scheduled.
  18. Due to Kentucky pushing back the start of their season, Gibson Southern is now looking for a week 2 game on 8/27 or 8/28.
