  1. Correct. I should have clarified. I’ve long maintained that BD’s JV could win that sectional.
  2. I’ll give you that but when the purpose of replay is to correct potential errors on the field and they STILL get it wrong, it’s an embarrassment. Then to release an “our bad” statement ten days later is salt in the wound.
  3. Serious question that is in no way intended as a shot towards any program... Does BD even game plan for the sectional? Do they have to? I know there is coach speak and no one would admit it but I bet they have been preparing for either Brownsburg or Carmel since the end of the regular season. They'll play their best football...AGAIN.
  4. Tell me this. Calls/no calls often decide games. This is a fact. Why is it that both the coaches and athletes have to take the walk of shame and get bombarded with questions post game about why they did this or did that, yet referees just roll out of town and have to answer to no one? Then give some half-assed apology two weeks later which changes nothing? In this particular case, Harbaugh was blasted by the media for making a non-specific statement about the officiating. Was called a whiner and folks pointed to mistakes his team made as a way to indicate he was giving himself and his team a pass. Then, 9 days later the conference posts an "our bad, you were right" apology... Coaches have millions of dollars riding on the outcomes of these games, the players have poured their lives into this game and with replay there is absolutely NO excuse for this to happen.
  5. Just speaking to officiating, that’s all.
  6. Any Bears fans wanna chime in this AM?
  7. Likelihood of Fort Wayne “area” teams to win this weekend (my opinion). 1. Adams Central 2. Eastside 3. Dwenger 4. Carroll 5. Norwell Agree/Disagree?
  8. They need (all refs) to be accountable. Suck it up, dig in your pockets, and employ full-time referees. Coaches and players have to face the music after the game and answer questions from the media, referees should have to also.
  9. Well, I mean they did overturn a scoop and score that was ruled a TD on the field and then just walked it back. So… Kudos to you for protecting your guys but it is widely known that Big Ten officials have been egregiously bad for quite some time. In this particular case, it was the replay booth. The refs actually got it right.
  10. And then there’s this… https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/32584618/michigan-football-coach-jim-harbaugh-says-big-ten-acknowledged-officiating-mistakes-loss-michigan-state
  11. This one is definitely more intriguing to me than it would have appeared a month ago. I still think Westfield pulls it out but Carroll could make things interesting.
  12. They beat who they are supposed to?
  13. While I agree with you, isn’t ranking Michigan in front of MSU a double standard? Michigan dominated most of the game but the final score has to matter, right?
  14. I tend to agree but will play devil's advocate here. After Georgia, there are 10-12 teams that on the right day "could" be playoff worthy. I heard Klatt talking about this very topic on Saturday during the OSU/Nebraska game. You have to expand this thing. It is playoff or bust for so many programs which is a damn tight window. You have some great programs and teams that are being left behind annually that could do some damage in the right scenario/matchup.
  15. I am interested in the Michigan/MSU dynamic in tomorrow night's rankings. Both teams will still control their own destiny but the committee set precedent by putting Oregon in front of OSU due to head to head. How far will the Spartans drop?
  16. Indeed it does. But they knew the schedule coming in. Michigan and MSU began the season unranked but they knew exactly what they were up against when they saw Iowa, Cincinnati, Penn State and Ohio State on the schedule.
  17. Remember 365 days ago when Tom Allen was getting national coach of the year consideration and Jeff Brohm was on the hot seat? I do…
  18. I was told that Brandon would heal/unify the nation and that these types of incidents would be a thing of the past.
  19. So, what’d we learn yesterday? 1. Georgia remains the only team without legitimate flaws. They are the clear favorite. 2. This is NOT your typical Bama team. Good? Sure. But the Tide don’t look dominant. 3. MSU couldn’t handle the spotlight. Huge rivalry win followed by a roller coaster of a loss at Purdue. 4. Oregon just keeps humming along. They look like a shell of the team that won at OSU but still good enough to run the table in a weak Pac 12? 5. OSU is vulnerable but still has the best WR core in America. Even without Garrett Wilson they looked like a machine. The run/pass ratio was a bit head scratching though. 6. Here’s an idea Cincinnati. If you want people to take you serious and cry about disrespect, try dominating teams that are clearly inferior to you. 7. Sloppy, but Michigan bounced back and still has its goals in front of them. Will be interesting to see how the committee ranks them and MSU Tuesday. 8. Oklahoma had a much needed week off to get focused on the gauntlet of a schedule they face this month. They will have their opportunities to make their claim. 9. Wake Forest. All O, no D. 10. Notre Dame overcame a slow start to pull away from Navy. Purdue and Wisconsin wins looking a lot better now. Last chance for a resume building win next weekend at Virginia.
  20. Let’s not pretend that depth was the issue in blowout losses to Iowa, Penn State, OSU, and Michigan. I might be willing to give you Cincinnati and they probably beat Maryland and maybe MSU. This was an outfit with a ceiling of 6-7 wins from the beginning.
