  1. I mean, Snider's loss to 6A Homestead was not all that surprising and is not an indicator they aren't the best team in 5A. I think some folks overreacted...(coming from a guy who dropped Snider like a rock in his own poll, I know).
  2. You've gotta let it go. They are ducking you. Chiming in on this thread means they are in your head. You've won three in a row...be happy.
  3. Bloomington North unanimous in 5A shocks me.
  4. Still 39-15 over the last 4+ years including 2023 (Ben Davis is 33-22 over that same time period)...just stop.
  5. I was told the new hire would do well and that it would just “take time.” They’ll be looking for a new coach in no time…a dead end gig. Wash, rinse, repeat.
  6. Respect both takes. CP sorta moved up by default to be honest.
  7. Some real "shoot outs" on that list...sorry I had to...
  8. Texas and FSU will eventually remember they are Texas and FSU and slip up...never fails.
  9. Guy ALWAYS knows where the camera is...
  10. Some of the shine of that early season win over Whiteland has worn off as the Warriors are average this year. Kokomo is still a good team, capable of making a deep run but not 25 worthy as of right now in my opinion.
  11. Based on what I saw Saturday night (could be overreacting) OSU also has to worry about a night game at Wisconsin and "maybe" Maryland also. The tiebreaker would likely fall to record vs crossover opponents and if that is equal than the record of those teams in the Big Ten West whom they played. Texas rebounded nicely off of a ho hum win over Wyoming (expected after the emotional win at Bama) with a trashing of Baylor. FSU escaped for the second week in a row and I don't know if that is a blueprint for long term success. A one loss SEC team will always get in.
  12. It was embarassing...as was the post game locker room celebration.
  13. What'd we find out. I think ND and OSU are top 10 teams but neither jumped off the page to me as ELITE at this stage. Coaching blunders on both sides. Prime's shine wearing off as Buffs were exposed against a legit team...won't get any easier this week. Bama went back to Millrose and proved they are still good enough to be in the conversation. FSU escapes for the second consecutive week as Clemson self-destructs down the stretch. Utah continues to escape with QB2...will need him back next month. Same old Iowa. PSU #2 in the Big Ten?
  14. I agree, but the buck stops with the head coach. He is the CEO. $5 million a year and they failed to ask him if he could count to 11 in his job interview? Obviously joking, but that is a middle school level coaching mistake…
  15. I think you should have higher expectations of a head coach, especially one making $5 million/year. The things you mention are important but game management and situational football are the #1 responsibility of a head coach and should be a given. Last year it was, “give him time” it’s year 1…now it’s “but he’s an elite recruiter”? Come on.
  16. EVERYTHING that had to go wrong for Notre Dame to lose that game WENT WRONG. A comedy of errors…by both teams honestly. They gifted the game to OSU and I sort of got my wish… OSU remains a finesse squad (play action from the 2 yard line on 4th down in the first half and a jet sweep on 4th and 1 late in the fourth) and their run D remains pourous. Neither team wanted to win this game.
  17. Georgia Florida State Texas Michigan Ohio State Penn State Oregon Washington Alabama USC Notre Dame Oklahoma Utah LSU Duke Tennessee Miami (FL) Mississippi Washington State Oregon State Kansas State North Carolina Wisconsin Florida Louisville
  18. 1. Michigan 2. Ohio State 3. Penn State 4. Wisconsin 5. Maryland 6. Iowa 7. Rutgers 8. Illinois 9. Minnesota 10. Nebraska 11. Purdue 12. Michigan State 13. Northwestern 14. Indiana
  19. Tell ‘em!
  20. What’s the extent of the Chatard QB injury?
  21. Thought you’d chime in on this one and full transparency, this was the toughest ranking yet. I agree, in part with your “looking bad” take but we now have a common opponent (Homestead) by which to compare Snider and Carmel. Granted the games were 6 weeks apart and teams change but common opponents/results is really the foundation for the poll. I don’t think there is any wrong answer when it comes to teams 5-14 and would listen to any case made for switching them around like deck chairs. Many would think Westfield should drop farther after last night’s debacle but I can’t drop them behind HSE, who can’t drop behind Fishers or Carroll due to head to head. Valpo seems to be what we thought they were in the preseason and that opener at Penn seems to be well behind them. If I were Snider I would have a serious case of “deja vu” right now… I do believe you can learn some things and there is value in losing but you know the Snider program better than me.
