Never thought I’d see the day when it seems the IU defense is good enough/competent yet the offense can’t get it done.

I‘m really just more alarmed at the lack of respect for what the East Central program is at this point. Not sure what else they can do save for scheduling 6A schools and more out of state powers to prove to folks that they are worthy of being in the discussion for best team in the state REGARDLESS of class. That’s where I am. No disrespect intended for New Haven (or anyone else for that matter) and I’m not saying folks need to bow down to East Central but these hypotheticals (I know that is what message boards are all about) about weather/prefect conditions and their effect on a potential game are an exercise in futility. You tried making some sort of logistical argument about speed on turf vs grass earlier in a thread about Penn I believe and just talked yourself in circles. Football is an imperfect game. I’m fully on board with @Rodney.

Avon will be under. Brownsburg is an interesting case. I could see them ending up anywhere from 7-9. Fishers is also interesting. See them at 6-7. Franklin Central needs to grab one of their last four to hit the over. Will be close. Hamilton Southeastern looks like they are going to be a near miss. Don’t see them running the table. Noblesville needs to hit one of their last four to hit the over. I think they do. I see Westfield getting to 7. Zionsville may be a near miss. They need two to hit the over and are underdogs in 3 of their last 4.

Figured after week 5 we would revisit these… Ben Davis will hit the over. Carmel will end at 5 or 6…still in question. Center Grove will hit the over. Lawrence Central will likely be under. Lawrence North will hit the over. North Central will be under. Pike will likely be under. Warren will be under.

Ah, so they are the Indiana high school version of Ohio State…a good dome team. Great teams are not one dimensional and can adapt their game plan to fit all elements…so in essence you are telling me New Haven is not a great team.

I hate to speak an absolutes, but I’m sorry… You can’t in one breath question, a teams ability to get to state, and then, in the next sentence claim they are a serious threat to East Central, lol. (Furthermore, Ringer of East Central could possibly be the fastest player on the field in a potential New Haven/East Central matchup at Lucas Oil.) Just stop.

Rivalry game, BD coming off an emotional one. Warren did score two special teams touchdowns, though I guess you could also say BD had a pick six. Warren may have lost their QB for the season last night…don’t want to speculate but he left the game with an air cast on his arm in the first quarter. Freshman kid came in and showed some grit, made some decent throws. Still not sold on Warren’s offense taking enough pressure off of their D though.

17 penalties on BD last night… Just didn’t look sharp, credit to Warren…their D held up after the initial onslaught. Their special teams is an enigma. A KR/PR TD but can’t make a field goal and their kickoff team is atrocious.

Parity/mediocrity in my opinion. Not one state title contender and the argument could be made that Plainfield and Perry are the only improved teams over last year…maybe Greenwood. Sorry to be the wet blanket of the group.
