  1. You went from “IU/Purdue blew it” to “he might be capable of playing in a better program” in 48 hours.
  2. “IU & Purdue missed out. They blew it. Not the first time and it won't be the last but Steele could have been theirs and they passed.” You’ve come a long way in two days.
  3. He’s averaging 65 yards per game NINE games into his collegiate career. We know you love your son Mrs. Steele but let’s pump the brakes on his Heisman campaign.
  4. Guaranteed free money vs a small shot at free money is a hard choice? I guess some folks do play the lottery.
  5. Just figured common sense would state to play out the season, take your visits and explore your options. This kid “committed” weeks ago. Is a PWO (nothing guaranteed) at a P5 school better than a full ride to a MAC school?
  6. My question still remains. Why “accept” a PWO when you could get your schooling paid for for 4-5 years somewhere else? Just bizarre to see no other offers.
  7. Apologies now or later @Bobref? "I'm not an anti-vaxx, flat-earther. … I have an allergy to an ingredient that's in the mRNA vaccines. I found a long-term immunization protocol to protect myself, and I'm very proud of the research that went into that," the Packers star added. "Some of the rules, to me, are not based in science at all. They’re purely trying to out and shame people, like needing to wear a mask at a podium when every person in the room is vaccinated and wearing a mask – makes no sense to me," Rodgers said. "If you got vaccinated to protect yourself from a virus I don’t have as an unvaccinated individual then why are you worried about anything I could give you? "I have followed every single protocol to a T – minus the one I just mentioned because it actually makes no sense to me. My daily routine is the routine of an unvaccinated person."
  8. Can anyone tell me more about the Biddings to Louisville ordeal? Someone made a big stink about it on Facebook last month and he is listed as a "walk on" at Louisville and 247 lists it as his only offer. Wouldn't common sense state that if the kid can walk on at Louisville he could also earn a scholarship to a lower level/non power 5 school? What's the deal?
  9. Once the MIC slappies feel offended, there's blood in the water.
  10. This is a good point. Maybe still too early to tell though. Would Spegal benefit from a move to a smaller school? Is it an option he is even entertaining?
  11. People, particularly those in Indy are STILL salty about the 2018 Mr. Football voting.
  12. I mean the holes that the Indy running backs were given and the free reign given to the WR’s to do whatever they wanted was absolutely putrid.
  13. The first two sentences of your second paragraph nail it. Too many variables to make the assumption that IU/Purdue “missed” on the kid ESPECIALLY this early in the process. Who is to say he didn’t use the disrespect that he WAS shunned by big time programs as a motivator that has contributed to his impressive start? So many folks are “D1 or bust” or “P5 or bust” when in fact there are countless examples (even some in this thread) that show that it really doesn’t matter. If you’re good, they’ll find you. If they miss once, the transfer portal is always an option. I loved watching the kid play and echo the sentiments of many on here (albeit from afar) but to pretend we know more than the staffs that recruit these kids is a bit extreme.
  14. Can you please provide us with your resume including references and reasoning why your eyes and ability to see him “up close” is superior to the Indiana and Purdue coaching staffs? Are you on a university’s football payroll somewhere?
  15. Anyone else long for the days where a person’s medical/health decisions were not a public matter? Oh, just me? Okay…
  16. How in the HELL have the Jets won two games?
  17. The irony in this post (though no one at Carmel would probably say this publicly) is that sectional titles probably mean LESS at Carmel than anywhere else in the state. At this point (and anyone who has seen Carmel’s athletic HOF/gymnasium can attest to) I would not be surprised if they just use sectional champion trophies as door stops. Yes, in most sports.
  18. Nah, maybe that was a bit premature now that I look at it in retrospect but to make this outlandish claim as if it some sort of disrespect two-thirds of the way into the kid's freshman year is also premature. The MAC is a respectable mid-major conference but it is not the Big Ten.
  19. Oh, I agree completely. "Finding a way" just comes across to me as David vs Goliah or "against all odds" when actually the "odds" are pretty good that you are going to have success in a numbers driven sport with a high enrollment/SES (there it is AGAIN!).
  20. I think it is far too early to make this claim. Now, if the kid is at the combine in 2-3 years? Sure. How does 582 rushing yards against a MAC schedule compare/translate to the Big Ten?
  21. Never been a white wine/caviar type of guy. I'm more of a burger/brats individual who sprinkles in the occasional pre game keg stand.
