I think they can somehow manage a split against the Lawrence schools if the stars align. Friday night slightly changed my mind.

Based on what I’ve seen after three weeks? Yep. At some point what happens on the field has to matter. You can’t continually give a team a pass. I don’t care how tough a team’s schedule is. They could climb back in to the poll with a couple of wins or even a competitive loss to BD, LN, Carmel or LC but at this point I don’t see that happening.

Temp’s Top 25 (Week 3)
temptation replied to temptation's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Yep…if only adults stayed out of the way and they still played one another… -
HOW they lost both games. Not THAT they lost. You really think they’ll be ranked at 3-6…because that’s likely their record after 9 weeks.
-
If you just look at the box score, sure. I watched em in weeks 1/2…if that’s a top 20 team it’s a poor indictment of the quality of football in the state. I’ll give you top 30 with the right to change my mind if they beat (hell COMPETE with anyone remaining on their schedule not named Pike).

You lost me at ESPN (a site already claiming Jim Harbaugh would be a good candidate for the Browns before the first official week of either levels official season)... No, seriously though. I watched Hartman shred Navy and then watched USC struggle with SJSU (and Williams' body language absolutely sucked by the way) hours later... The Irish are better than the Trojans in my mind.

Add @whiteshoes to Eric Moore’s dart board in the locker room… -
It only gets worse.

An absolute travesty and the guy has zero remorse.

13-3 after two weeks... King (MI) @ Carmel: I think this is a get right game for Carmel as King has come up empty the last two years against Indiana competition and this year's team may be a year away from returning to national glory as Dante Moore is now on the west coast. They do have some playmakers on defense but they are outmanned here as the Greyhounds boast a 5/1 enrollment advantage. Carmel wins 35-20. Lawrence Central vs Lawrence North @ LOS: Maybe I am old school but it is a travesty they have taken this game out of Lawrence Township where the stands would be packed and moved it down town. LC proved it belongs on the short list of the state's elite, albeit in an overtime thrilling loss to Westfield last week. The Wildcats are flying high after a 2-0 start but the Bears are by far their toughest test yet. I'll take LC here 34-17. North Central @ Warren Central: The Warriors are not accustomed to being 0-2 but here we are. Like Carmel, this is a get right game for Warren in Derek Hart's homecoming. Can this propel the Warriors to figure some things out as the schedule gets more daunting going forward? We will find out. Warren wins 41-7. Pike @ Ben Davis: Pike looked like they had improved tremendously in week 1 in a close loss to Zionsville before being blown out by Fishers. BD avoided any kind of a let down after their hot start in the Buckeye state by easily disposing of west side rival Avon. Now the task is to not look ahead as IMG awaits in week 4. Won't be much resistance for the Giants. They roll here. 45-13. Trinity (KY) @ Center Grove: Rumors of a step back by Center Grove were greatly exaggerated and a win here likely propels them back to #1 in the Temp's rankings. What's that you say? A PASSING GAME for the Trojans? They'll continue to improve and should comfortably roll here in my opinion. CG wins 27-17. What say you?

Temp’s Top 25 (Week 2)
temptation replied to temptation's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Yes, but as I mentioned in another thread its HOW discombobulated/chaotic Warren looks at times. I understand early season struggles but their offense looks like an elementary fire drill (I have experience with these) the majority of the time. The opposition can only do so much but it is the simplicities of the game that seem to be causing Warren issues right now. They need North Central on the schedule this week for sure. -

Zionsville. I have Warsaw HM (#35). -
15-1 on the season... Avon @ Hamilton Southeastern: A true opening season gauntlet for the new staff at Avon meets yet another difficult test this Friday with a trip to HSE. I don't see this one going much better than last week's road test at BD. Royals win 38-10. Fishers @ Noblesville: The game of the week in the conference in my opinion as the Tigers travel to Noblesville. Fishers is a top ten squad statewide in my eyes and after last week's eye popping win over Homestead, the Millers may be knocking on the door. This is yet another shot for the Millers to prove their worth when it comes to the conference hierarchy and their home stadium should be rocking. I think Fishers "escapes" with a close win. Tigers 28-24. Franklin Central @ Brownsburg: Game of the week part 2 as both squads are coming off of HUGE wins and their same storyline as above applies here as Franklin Central wants to prove they belong where Brownsburg is. Key here is avoiding the "let down" that is commonly associated with these types on contests. I think this one is close early before Brownsburg proves FC just isn't quite ready, yet. Brownsburg wins 31-17. Westfield @ Zionsville: The Shamrocks escaped Indy's northeast side last Friday in a contest that amassed nearly 120 points. Zionsville has taken care of business in the first two weeks as expected, but Westfield is a different animal. I'll take Westfield here 34-20. What say you?

Thanks for the feedback. I have Decatur Central at HM (#27), Plainfield at HM (#31) and Evansville Memorial at HM (#38). -
LOL @ LC's omission in 6A...come on now. Westfield is #5 and beats LC in OT by 1 and LC misses the top ten?

Just stop with the disrespect nonsense. We all acknowledge Snider and Carroll are legitimate squads worthy of praise.
