  1. Last week was Brownsburg’s Super Bowl…simply put. No other excuses from this guy but if you don’t think it’s a huge advantage that BD gets a bye to the regional annually in the current set up, you are in denial. Brownsburg gets closer every year but just can’t show up or seal the deal when it counts. That’s more an indictment of their program and not the HCC. They flat out dominated the MIC’s second place team in the sectional final, yet no one was on here trashing the MIC. You can’t pick and choose. Both the MIC/HCC have two teams left and the HCC was 8-5 against the MIC this season. Let’s stop with the hyperbole.
  2. LOL, had a feeling this would be your take. But here’s the thing…last Friday was NOVEMBER 5th and Carmel DIDN’T show up. Funny how we pick and choose our narrative. Sorta like a South Carolina fan chanting “SEC” for Georgia or Alabama while watching them play in the Sugar Bowl after they played in the Meineke Car Care Bowl a week earlier.
  3. Brownsburg’s secondary looks lost. BD receivers running wild. Has a real MSU feel to it. Last week was Brownsburg’s Super Bowl. Some programs just can’t handle success.
  4. Taking NOTHING away from Purdue, but I think by season’s end, both Iowa and Michigan State will have been exposed as pretenders (still good wins)… OSU is an entirely different animal. I see Purdue putting up points, but not nearly enough.
  5. I’ll believe it when I see it. Ohio State is always clutch in late November.
  6. Oh I agree completely and both have a slim to none chance of beating OSU. But from a historical perspective, all that matters and all that folks will remember from the Michigan/MSU game from 2021 is 37-33.
  7. Eh, I get it but I’d still be a bit peeved if I were MSU. It will work itself out in the end and really doesn’t matter at this point so getting outraged about it is pointless Head to head (in particular the final score) has to matter first and foremost. Oregon is still in front of OSU despite the fact that I think if they played again this weekend, OSU would probably be favored. MSU losing to a team that was unranked at the time did them in. Michigan’s loss is “better” but it came at the hands of Michigan State, lol.
  8. Correct. I should have clarified. I’ve long maintained that BD’s JV could win that sectional.
  9. I’ll give you that but when the purpose of replay is to correct potential errors on the field and they STILL get it wrong, it’s an embarrassment. Then to release an “our bad” statement ten days later is salt in the wound.
  10. Serious question that is in no way intended as a shot towards any program... Does BD even game plan for the sectional? Do they have to? I know there is coach speak and no one would admit it but I bet they have been preparing for either Brownsburg or Carmel since the end of the regular season. They'll play their best football...AGAIN.
  11. Tell me this. Calls/no calls often decide games. This is a fact. Why is it that both the coaches and athletes have to take the walk of shame and get bombarded with questions post game about why they did this or did that, yet referees just roll out of town and have to answer to no one? Then give some half-assed apology two weeks later which changes nothing? In this particular case, Harbaugh was blasted by the media for making a non-specific statement about the officiating. Was called a whiner and folks pointed to mistakes his team made as a way to indicate he was giving himself and his team a pass. Then, 9 days later the conference posts an "our bad, you were right" apology... Coaches have millions of dollars riding on the outcomes of these games, the players have poured their lives into this game and with replay there is absolutely NO excuse for this to happen.
  12. Just speaking to officiating, that’s all.
  13. Any Bears fans wanna chime in this AM?
  14. Likelihood of Fort Wayne “area” teams to win this weekend (my opinion). 1. Adams Central 2. Eastside 3. Dwenger 4. Carroll 5. Norwell Agree/Disagree?
  15. They need (all refs) to be accountable. Suck it up, dig in your pockets, and employ full-time referees. Coaches and players have to face the music after the game and answer questions from the media, referees should have to also.
  16. Well, I mean they did overturn a scoop and score that was ruled a TD on the field and then just walked it back. So… Kudos to you for protecting your guys but it is widely known that Big Ten officials have been egregiously bad for quite some time. In this particular case, it was the replay booth. The refs actually got it right.
  17. And then there’s this… https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/32584618/michigan-football-coach-jim-harbaugh-says-big-ten-acknowledged-officiating-mistakes-loss-michigan-state
  18. This one is definitely more intriguing to me than it would have appeared a month ago. I still think Westfield pulls it out but Carroll could make things interesting.
