  1. I'm thinking the futures bet on ND over 8.5 wins seems like a lock, no?
  2. Couldn’t “get it up”... (The bar that is...)
  3. Still a sport nightly on the south side of Chicago...
  4. A sign of the times/changing of the guard? At one time the SAC schools measured themselves based on their performance AGAINST Snider. Now Snider is the hunter instead of the hunted. Could also say the same about the MIC. BD and Warren used to be the measuring stick annually.
  5. I’d argue that this gig is better than a dozen or more D1 gigs. So many kids grow up with a D1/FBS or bust mindset and then get impatient and hit the transfer portal.
  6. Some really intriguing storylines beyond Cathedral. No disrespect intended for the Irish but its a matter of whom they will have to beat along the way to raise the trophy at LOS.
  7. Have you ever considered that getting your blood pressure up is his actual goal? If so, mission accomplished.
  8. Gosh, I hope you are kidding about the “most importantly” portion of your statement. I’ll give you a chance to clarify.

  15. Just need more big schools in the southern half of the state.
  16. Will be interesting because I firmly believe the HCC currently boasts leverage they did not 10 years ago.
  17. Ceiling just dropped significantly though there should be four automatic wins in the AFC South this year.
  18. They don’t. And Westfield is 10 more minutes, lol.
  19. Today, it isn't. Tomorrow it won't be. But by the end of this decade? It will be.
  20. Agree on both accounts but like we always say with the HCC schools, no one will believe it until they SEE it. Last year's Warren team was mediocre by past standards and shut down LN's two offensive juggernauts in the sectional. North Central, on the other hand actually had the 2018 Warren team on the ropes and gave them one hell of a game. Both programs definitely have reason for optimism but the bottom four in the MIC will not garner statewide respect until they break into the top half of the conference on a consistent basis.
  21. Lawrence North is on a “talent upswing”, it is still to be determined whether or not it translates into long term tournament success. They arguably had the best two players on the field in over 75 percent of their games last season and still couldn’t advance past the sectional. North Central gets Temp’s “covid pass” for 2020 as they had a great 2019. 2021 will tell the real story on their future.
  22. Is it really parity when 12 percent of the class (4 schools) dominate 6A? I have gone on record as stating that the HCC gets 2-3 titles this decade. I’ll stick to it and maybe even bump that up should the rumored move eventually take place.
  23. Once again, CG or Carmel took home 18 of the 20 conference titles this past school year. They’ve outgrown the MIC from a competitive standpoint in nearly every sport outside of football and basketball. This cannot be ignored.
  24. It’s either/or. If Carmel/CG bolt, LC and LN instantly become more competitive.
