    I'm pretty certain you are right but I still firmly believe a head coaches' mantra should be to overlook no opponent...I'm sure he'd suggest his players do the same. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he mispoke.

    Hocker (Cathedral) update: 20 year old runs an incredible race in which h the top 6 broke the previous Olympic record (1500 meters). Hocker finishes 6th. 3:31.40...converts to a 3:47 mile. The winner (from Norway) is 8 months older than Cole. Could be an incredible rivalry to watch over the next decade.

    Nah, nice try though. The topics of conversation engaged upon in this forum were nauseating 12 months ago. Took a step away while things cooled off and am back to kick ass. Congrats on being victim #1. Every interaction with you improves my self-esteem a notch.

    Keep an eye on Cathedral’s Cole Hocker in Saturday’s 1500m final. 7:40am. At 20, the kid is not only holding his own with the big dogs but quite possibly has the most lethal finishing kick in the world.

    Sadly, it’s plastered all over every major media news outlet. Shouldn’t be newsworthy for an Olympian to publicly show pride in competing for her country, but here we are. (But you already knew that.)

    Which creates chaos when it comes to unbalanced schedules, meaning non-deserving teams are sometimes in contention for conference titles. The SEC is about to find out and the Big Ten already has.
