  1. Yes, those “at risk” kids were just crapped on again. All because of adults who put them in a bad spot.
  2. LOL @ ESPN not doing their homework. Embarrassing all around.
  3. 31 is not the parking lot that it used to be (especially around the Kokomo area) but Mishawaka to 48th and Arlington on a bus will be just short of 3 hours each direction.
  4. Your final score looks spot on. Beginning to look more and more like 2018 was the exception and not the new rule in Washington Township.
  5. Nice analysis as always @DT… A couple of honorary additions: Thumbs Up: HSE and Fishers: many wrote them off as legitimate programs after a rough 2020 Chatard - a program obviously not built upon moral victories but love how they came out and punched Warren in the mouth early Carroll (FW) - could have packed their bags after the week 1 loss to Luers but got off the mat and beat Snider Edinburgh - doing something to another team that used to be done to them on a regular basis Mooresville - not much to brag about in BEATING Danville but HOW they beat Danville was eye opening to me Thumbs Down: Penn - first Valpo (little shame) and now LaPorte? Making matters worse, they are getting on a bus Friday night into a buzzsaw. 6 hours on a bus for a contest that will be over in less than 6 minutes. Pike - LC seems to have figured something out but the same can’t be said for the Red Devils. Shut out at home and only 10 points in two weeks? Lafayette Jeff - did not see this one coming, whoa Southport - Yikes. When did the transition to the other township school take place? Snapped a 12 game winning streak over the Falcons. Plainfield - I just don’t get it. Growing suburban population, all of the resources to compete and loses to a 3A (albeit a damn good one) school within the same county borders
  6. Penn will not score.
  7. Pretty close to my score prediction. Seems we agree more than you think. Thanks for your contributions to the thread topic.
  8. You’re trying too hard. Don’t try to charge me for the rent I own in your little head. Got a prediction about the game or are you going to continue this game of middle school tag?
  9. Yes, they did. Good point. Obviously a school of 1000 with over a half dozen next level athletes on the roster more so fits the athletic profile of an Indiana P/P more so than a public school like New Pal. One poster on here likened King to what Tech would be if all of the city schools combined for athletic purposes. Those New Pal teams ran roughshod over folks with 2-3 D1 guys, including a RB who is now playing SPECIAL TEAMS in the Big Ten.
  10. Separate argument. Chatard’s P/P status competing against a school with universal free lunch (nearly 70 percent) in a one time scenario is different than comparing a public school of 1100s ability to reload year after year and take on schools twice their size. But you already knew that.
  11. Week 3 boasts the first of what most would consider the first of two “games of the year” in Indiana high school football so I thought I’d get the discussion started. Probably not a game statewide this season that will feature more next level talent on the field at the same time as when Center Grove travels to Carmel this Friday night. Both teams 2-0 as CG has easily disposed of Warren and Decatur Central, whereas Carmel boasts two out of state wins in high octane fashion. This matchup was much hyped last year but CG throttled the Hounds 42-0. Hard to pick against CG for this guy as the argument could be made they are BETTER than last year’s title team and are more complete on both sides of the ball. Taking nothing away from Carmel as they’ve downed two great opponents but have needed 40+ on both occasions. Gimme CG 30-17.
  12. You’re catching on. It is more important then enrollment though. Thanks for the reminder. Chatard hung with a team that had 5 times it’s enrollment on Friday night. Let that sink in.
  13. Not how he stated it. He claimed it’d be a formality.
  14. Maybe that “we will meet Dwenger in the sectional for the first time” comment was a bit premature, huh?
  15. How’s Pioneer holding up these days? Same deal on a bigger scale.
  16. They are a victim…of their own success. The current crop of kids is being “punished” due to the success of their predecessors. A public school of 1000-1100 kids can only punch above their weight for so long.
  17. Former Cathedral Irish star scores the first TD of the 2021 college football season.
  18. Obviously. Are you honestly expecting folks to have sympathy for Cathedral and Chatard? You'll be waiting a while.
  19. Comparing Cathedral and Chatard to NEW PAL is irresponsible and you know it. No further explanation needed. You had one part of your post correct however…”it sucks for the current kids.”
  20. Am I mistaken they play at Tech occasionally also?
  21. Still think Brownsburg is a top 4-5 team in 6A at this point.
  22. That’s gonna be a long bus ride home for Penn next Friday…probably not what they had in mind when they added the Irish to the schedule. Separate note, why is Cathedral playing games at Arlington these days and not Tech?
