  1. Peebles got in his team’s way of winning that night.
  2. Don’t discount the two (that I know of) D1 CG transfers from Brownsburg.
  3. Brownsburg has also sort of broken me. No reason they should have looked so bad in the postseason the past two seasons. Hate to say this, but even if they pull it off Friday night, NO ONE will (nor should they) take them seriously until they do it again in November. Probably not fair but still fact.
  4. It’s that whole MIC > HCC narrative.
  5. Similar to what I said in the Luers/Carroll thread, Columbus North BETTER win this one...especially after the quotes from Bless in @DT's interview a couple of weeks back.
  6. Is this a prediction or just last year’s standings?
  7. "40 days and 40 nights..." Based on my math, should we expect to see the "chosen one" around week 6?
  8. One at a time: 1. I think that CG simply has too much on both sides of the ball...10 years ago I would never have imagined myself saying that. Should be an interesting coaching matchup as I do firmly believe WC upgraded with Kirschner. The hire surprised me and I expect Warren to get better each and every week. I'll say CG 27-13. 2. I keep flip flopping on the BD/Brownsburg contest. Once again, I HATE that this westside rivalry has been moved to a stale atmosphere at Lucas Oil Stadium. Brownsbug would have made a field day at the gate on this one. I think BD pulls out a close one 27-24. 3. Trinity is #1 in Kentucky and top 25 nationally. I will say however that Trinity does not seem to boast the 3-4-5 star recruits I am used to seeing according to 247. I'll still give them a slight edge at home. 23-21. 4. Poor Lawrence Central. This may be one of their best shots at a win all season but I think HSE has a bounce back year with their coaching staff now having a full/normal offseason under their belts. I'll say its still fairly close. 31-23 HSE. 5. Stated in another thread that LN broke me last year. Having the two best players on the field and still coming up short at Warren in the sectional gives me little hope that the Wildcats can ever get over the hump. On the other side, trying not to overanalyze CG's scrimmage demolition of Avon as I think the Trojans have the capability to do that to a lot of teams this fall. I will make one guarantee: This one will not be as high scoring as last year. I think both programs are in rebuilding mode honestly. Gimme Avon 24-20. 6. I think North Central is poised for a bounce back year in what I called a "2020 covid pass". O'Shea is one of the best in the business and I do think that the future is bright for both of these programs. I will take NC 30-20. 7. Pike is in a similar boat as LC as their winning opportunities will be few and far in between this fall. Zionsville cannot expect to be taken seriously as a 5A contender if they cannot beat the bottom of the MIC. I say the Eagles take this one 34-20.
  9. Coan named the game 1 starter...guess “the chosen one” has to wait.
  10. I guess I can get on board with this.
  11. Bold prediction: CG has more fans in attendance than Warren.
  12. Is being 12th in a class of 32 brag worthy?
  13. As much as I want to believe in LN (and I honestly do think Mallory has done a helluva job there) last year's sectional debacle broke me.
  14. Perhaps but lets also consider the personnel the defense had in late in the game.
  15. Disagree.
  16. I'll play. Gimme Cathedral 38-21.
  17. He's trying (unsuccessfully) to be funny.
  18. So you went from a Warren win to a CG blowout, huh? I’ve even got a closer score than you do.
  19. D coordinator. Not sure why but Warren never found a scrimmage opponent on Friday night. Maybe he thinks games are won and lost on social media?
  20. Are you a “Twitter is real life” guy, too?
  21. On another note, Warren seems confident. Not sure the play here...
  22. Ok, I’ll expand on my statement above. With their upgrade in facilities and desire to be taken seriously as a 6A player, Carroll cannot let a 2A school (no disrespect intended at all to Luers) hang around for long. They need to make a statement.
  23. Highly unlikely. @DTis pretty passionate about the Bears.
  24. Carroll better win handily...that’s all I’ll say.
