  1. Should have won that one. Does he not have another yr if he wants it due to Covid?
  2. If you want to see Elliott, can see on ESPN tonight at Idaho in FCS playoffs.
  3. Bowen and Kiser played both ways and everyone saw them play both sides of ball in multiple state finals.
  4. No one even mentioned Matt Canada. ................ In other news, Tom Allen just finished a Bahama Mama and now getting ready for sunset dinner at The Stoned Crab.........
  5. Btw, Josh Fryar, just named ALL BIG 10 as a dude who could not sniff the award because he was an OL.
  6. Doubt a defensive player or lineman will ever win this award again. Barzilauskas was too well known, dwarfing the competition (literally), and it was 30 years ago.
  7. Interior is correct. right where the two native dudes left last year for other fields. Also, you can never have enough dudes who can play edge/inhibit route/passing lanes. With the new additions in 2024, this league will do some adjusting to new offensive emphasis. You are not defending Michigan, Iowa and Wisconsin power run anymore. Also, this may be some of the success Ohio St had with their receivers in Myer/Day era (besides they had many of the best receivers any team saw).
  8. Looking forward to OH finals starting tomorrow and then the TX finals. Is there a site for TX Hs where posters cry about Aledo's success?
  9. Some were calling this an epic upset in the history of Michigan playoffs.
  10. Saw Mark Cuban sold majority interest in Mavs. Maybe IU is calling him for donations.
  11. When Lutheran dismantled Triton Central early on, and later seeing TC in person and their continued success to semistate, it was a sign to me that 2A may be suspicious. They are a decent team and program under Tim Able, but were driven by one superstar at that level. One player can only do so much, unless you are James Banks, who created absolute chaos.
  12. Rather be Tom Allen right now than Ryan Day after the CFB rankings said good season, but we are going a different direction this time.
  13. If I am Tom Allen, I am on a beach in the Bahamas on a multi-week vacation with my family thinking this is the greatest thing that could have happened. $ and getting out of that horrible gig at IU. My agent already is informing suitors what does and does not motivate me for the next DC position I take. Heck, I am looking for a dream job that I can be all in on since I already have $. And as a DC, I think his spirit does translate to his guys if they know he is all in on them, just not when you are trying to beat the MAC cellar at home in overtime as the head coach.
  14. American Tackle Football has 11 offensive positions, 11 defensive positions, a punter and kicker and 10 other positions for punting and kicking teams, which makes it the greatest team game. Basketball has only five positions. While small school vs largest school basketball may have some merit, a 1A or 2A football champ vs a 6A football champ may be an absurdity due to the number of top level players and number of plays in a game. Will someone mention what about fill in the blank player who played on fill in the blank team? We could single out 2003 Chatard (3A in a time of 5 classes) for example. Could they have been competitive against Penn? Don't know. 2003 Warren Central had some asinine speed and power. And football has continued developing in Indiana the last 20 years.
  15. Martinsville forced EC to go hard into the third quarter, which I considered quite an accomplishment for the Arties considering this EC team's dominance and consecutive sectional shellackings experienced at St. Leon.
  16. https://www.indystar.com/videos/sports/high-school/2023/11/17/ihsaa-football-semistate-east-central-dominates-new-palestine-49-0/71628352007/
  17. The r word-made me think of that Black Eyed Peas song, "Let's Get Retarded."
  18. What happens to Ryan Day if Michigan rolls the Buckeyes without Harbaugh?
  19. .Good night in the daytime! How many balls does Bobby Cox have?????? Table tennis anyone? Just had to go out and bring up "Coach Junction Boy" some of the newer posters can't handle learning about CJB. Careful with those Bit 'O Honey's we don't want too many dentist visits!
  20. So surprised that Jeff Robinson, future NFL safety Stacey Toran and King Duke may not have been from the district. Coach Smith........
  21. Was it happening over 40 years ago? I know of a high skill qb from Southport who ended up at reigning state champ Carmel as a possible example. Don't know, go figure.
