Valley definitely looks to record their best season since the late 90's. Tell City plays a tough schedule for a small school. Could either make or break Valley's chance and a perfect regular season. WW will get better. Unfortunately, this will be a bit of a payback year for a lot of teams that have been on the other side for a while. Curious to see what how Scottsburg fares as they enter their tougher half of the schedule, starting with SC. I feel like the cancelled Salem/SC and Salem/Sburg matchups would have been great games to watch.

Seeing on social media that the Pekin at Silver Creek game has been canceled. Does anyone know if Creek is playing anyone else tonight or tomorrow?

The only way he can touch the ball is if the ball is thrown backwards. Not a great risk/reward scenario if you ask me.

Kinda feel like if Valley has the option to play Paoli on Saturday but forfeits that opportunity, they forfeit that game and the chance of a conference championship. I just can't understand the problem. Games have been delayed and moved to Saturday due to weather. This is just a new type of delay we have to deal with.

Do the specific numbering rules actually apply to junior high ball? I've seen quite a few instances where there are not 5 lineman numbers on the line as well as lineman numbers out wide.

This really makes me chuckle. I rocked a pair of LA Lights way back in the early 90's. Definitely thought I was cool, but if the Jumpman wasn't on them, I'd never wear them on the court. Honestly, I can't even imagine being a HC and allowing a player to wear them. I get the "Look good, feel good, play good" mantra but man, poor judgement.

The rest were no big surprise besides the spread on the Paoli/Corydon matchup. Hopefully everyone is back on schedule after next week and this forum makes it a week without crashing!

According to Facebook, Salem is virtual and all extracurricular activities are cancelled. Not sure of specific dates besides virtual until Sept 7. Major bummer considering the stage was set for a great conference race.

Couldn’t sleep so I was scrolling through Facebook and see on the school page that West Washington will be going virtual and is canceling ALL sporting events. Really a huge bummer for the kids and staff that have put in so much time this summer. Looks like they will sit out Clarksville and Mitchell and come back with only 3 days to prepare for a tough Springs Valley team. Hoping that everyone stays healthy and numbers trend down. Rivalry aside, it’s sad see this happen. Hard to believe Covid is having more effect this year than last as far as cancelling events. Wishing the best to all the teams( except for the weeks we matchup). Play each game as if it is your last!
