  1. I agree…he lost me a little when he went down the path.
  2. Josh Pate comments about the Sorsby case on the Rich Eisen show.
  3. The new line of defense for an athlete gambling on his teams in collegiate sports..... 1) Sue the NCAA to get a judge local to your university to hear your case 2) argue that gambling is a mental health disorder Get reinstated...taking a quote from Ken Nunn...."its just that easy". Integrity of the game? Who needs it? Brendan Sorsby was smart enough to have a university get the right attornies and the right venue for him....I guess well played?? In their defense of his gambling, attorneys for Sorsby used his 'mental health disorder' as a reasoning as to why the NCAA should have accepted the two-game suspension proposal from the quarterback, while also proclaiming that none of the bets placed were compromising the actual game. https://www.foxnews.com/sports/brendan-sorsby-wins-court-injunction-ncaa-betting-team-multiple-times
  4. Shefty reporting it….
  5. Feels like a victim mentality. Plenty of options, including becoming an official. Life sometimes just isn't fair....adapt and move forward
  6. According to these guys, top 10 highest college football payrolls. Any surprises? I would have thought Georgia and Michigan would be on the list. Surprised ND in top 10. Thoughts??
  7. Cignetti and crew landing some big recruits over the past couple of days. Not used to seeing them land 4 stars. One, right out of Ohio away from the Buckeyes...... https://www.si.com/college/indiana/football/hoosiers-win-recruiting-battle-for-dajon-talley-rhodes https://www.si.com/college/indiana/football/reinaldo-perez-ohio-state-recruiting-win https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-football-recruiting-hoosiers-get-commitment-from-2027-4-star-edge-myles-smith/ not 4 stars but great commits https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/high-school/2026/05/18/indiana-football-recruiting-brownsburg-wr-branden-sharpe-commits-to-iu/90147369007/ https://www.thedailyhoosier.com/iu-football-gets-commitment-from-class-of-2027-cornerback-rico-jackson/ https://www.on3.com/teams/indiana-hoosiers/news/2027-standout-safety-brady-scott-commits-to-indiana/
  8. thought this was interesting...as we always stated...the worst aspect of youth sports.....parents. Most of those living out their unfulfilled dreams through their children.
  9. hidi hidi hidi ho.......orange whip??
  10. Does this now put the NW Indiana option in the lead?? Especially if the Illinois senate and house doesn't meet until fall? https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/48938235/lawmakers-adjourn-passing-bill-keep-bears-chicago
  11. Those teams schedule "cupcakes" because of the strength of their conference. The teams in question of playing ND in the future, all had stronger SOS's than ND this past season. This is a real concern for ND...and that is SOS in future seasons. With ACC teams offer stronger SOS's? Wll ACC (outside of the guaranteed 5 games) and the Big 12 be inclined to play ND? I am not as sure they need ND as much as you think they do....can't see schools like Texas Tech and Arizona State running out to schedule ND. Ultimately, will this push ND to a conference??
  12. Is ND losing Texas from the schedule in upcoming years? Writer indicates Indiana and Bama are in question as well. Notre Dame in danger of losing major future opponent
  13. Just horrible...now reading he passed from pneumonia that evolved into sepsis. How does that happen? He had radioed in during a recent race that he was having trouble breathing and was very congested. How does this get missed in a diagnosis? He was in a simulator and collapsed....and rushed to the hospital? Are you kidding me? Just tragic. https://apnews.com/article/kyle-busch-cause-of-death-d198c16d4cb7e383b7c7e16f6ba471aa
  14. Not doing to disagree Coach as you are much closer than me. But I am good friends with a former Purdue 4 year athlete and a consistent contributor as part of the John Purdue club. Let's just say he has a very different view as far as the past president's support of football, especially financially. Let's hope you are correct. If they have the funds, they should land the players. I think Purdue has a very fine coach. IU's president and her past experience on the senior administration at the Univ of Georgia made a huge difference for IU's football program. She knew what football means at UGA and clearly had a vision to change the direction at IU when she arrived. Hoping President Whitten sticks around for awhile!!
  15. Congrats Coach! Winning is winning!!
  16. Did I hear correctly that Purdue's president left for Northwestern? Does this open up an opportunity for a president that may be more open to sports investment?? Coach? Any thoughts??
  17. Raiders schedule release....so good!! Mendoza and Cousins Stepbrothers skit. You may have to click on the link or search it on Youtube
  18. just having fun with the smell fear comment Bob....I had to chuckle with the Purdue comment!!
  19. LOL....I smell fear. We are in the same age groups....I can certainly remember when Georgia had good teams under Vince Dooley, but wasn't the program they are now. Same for Bama...had a few down years before sustained excellence under Saban. Oregon....before the influence of Nike money, very little from them in the PAC 10. Ole Miss...mid to bottom of the SEC a few years ago. Other programs such as Nebraska used to dominate during the Osbourne years...not so much today. But the top programs have 2 things in common...great coaching and resources. Indiana has both. There is a no reasont to believe they cannot sustain unless they lose one or the other. Face it..ND doesn't rule the state of Indiana with ease anymore....they have some competition in the southern part of the state.
  20. I get tie breakers....but these conferences have gotten so large, that unlike other sports, many won't play each other and the SOS will be quite different for teams within the conference for football. At least in the past, the 2 top teams or division winners had to square off on the field. Now you could have teams with identical records, varying SOS's and now formula's dictating who wins the conference. Not my favorite way of earning a championship trophy and ring.
  21. IU may have been admitted to the tournament, but would have been a quick out. Hopefully, the future is better....
  22. I think the problem with Moore is that a team would have had to pick up his $9.5M salary this season....unless the Colts were willing to pay a portion not to have him on the roster. I don't think any team was willing to pay that amount, and correct me if I am mistaken, but he's been released for a week with no one jumping in to date.....
  23. I just think the BIG is doing anything they can to increase the potential of Purdue making it in.......😉 That was for Coach!!
