  1. Why deny a senior the opportunity to play their final game and experience a bowl?? Why take the extra time to develop younger players? Why slap your own players in the face in protest of a decision you don’t like. Hugely disappointing.
  2. Good grief…… They are the only team in the country to finish the season undefeated, beating 2 top 5 teams along the way. There is zero question about IU.
  3. How am I kidding myself? ND tied themselves partly to mainly the worst teams in an underperforming conference. That is fact. They lost head to head to a team that didn’t win that conference. Their SOS wasn’t great. ND wants it both ways. They want independence, they want the all the money and they want the big dance. Join a conference or win all your games. It’s that simple.
  4. You are right. My bad about Miami. But doesn’t take away that ND tied itself to a weaker P4 conference (at least this year) and then lost head to head to the only representative of that conference in the playoffs.
  5. Looks like ND taking their ball and heading home.
  6. So you basically want a P4 playoff system only?? Boise State and other schools never to have a seat? ND did this to themselves…they refuse to join a conference outright and the one they tie themselves to stunk this year. Their conference champ had a 8-5 record and as a result had no teams make the dance.
  7. My guess is the ND is in, but doesn’t help their case that the conference they play most of their games crowned a conference champion that entered the game with a 7-5 record.
  8. 🤣 I’ve seen the Irish pack a stadium in Baltimore 30 years ago. They have a national brand and everyone knows it. ND went to a conference that weakly allowed their main focus to stay independent with their NBC contract. Pure and simple. ND better pray the ACC never folds because the Big 10 and SEC would never allow this scenario.
  9. Never thought I’d see this
  10. Looked right at LOS. I understand the rule. I would have liked them to show that a few times with location of the receiver when he was hit and knocked backwards. If receiver on LOS at snap and knocked backwards, of course the ball doesn’t arrive at the LOS
  11. Asking again…was that truly a lateral on OSU’s interception? The defensive back clearly made contact with the receiver before the ball arrived.
  12. You agree with the no DPI on the OSU pick? Was it truly a lateral?
  13. Let’s go Hoosiers!!
  14. Without a doubt
  15. You and I played a long time ago, so obviously its safer. But players today are much better (overall) than players from our generation...both in strength and speed. The size and strength of lineman, LB's, safeties, etc. No one is arguing that safety hasn't advanced. But one is blind if they refuse to see that the NFL (and its union) have also ignored risk in various areas such as adding games, adding games during the week, and ignoring the consenquence of violent crown of helmet head shots without deterrents such as penalities/ejections that we do see in other levels of the game. I was a safety....I appreciate physicality. As was my son for a major 6A program and was pretty darn successful. (both individual and team) But we lived through his head injuries and they were more profound than mine, even with advancements of better equipment, rules, etc. Bottom line, better, faster and stronger athletes. I have no issue is the NFLPA wants to yell for all grass fields.....all I am saying they have chosen multiple times to compromise on other important safety issues....why? $$$ We can agree to disagree...last word is yours. I'm out.
  16. Just sharing a funny from X....I am not a ND hater...just the opposite actually.
  17. I’m in the risk management business. I can change rules, write new SOP’s, etc….now let’s talk about impact. when one advocates player safety, but ignores fatigue and bodily impact and schedules more games, adds Thursday night games, knowing that’s not adequate for bodily recovery, and ignores viscous crown of head impacts like we saw last week, well it’s hard for an organization to thump their chest and claim they care for their employees. Extra games and Thursday games are about one thing and one thing only….and it’s NOT player safety.
  18. Pretty cool intro for the Big 10 title game tonight! Fox promoting both CFB and IndyCar.
  19. Understand. Most unions scream for safety but settle for higher wages. They have been unable to prevent Goodell’s vision for more regular season games, Thursday night games with less body recovery time, and crown of head hits like the one I just showed. Sorry, but find NFL push for player safety a little disingenuous.
