  1. I’m in the risk management business. I can change rules, write new SOP’s, etc….now let’s talk about impact. when one advocates player safety, but ignores fatigue and bodily impact and schedules more games, adds Thursday night games, knowing that’s not adequate for bodily recovery, and ignores viscous crown of head impacts like we saw last week, well it’s hard for an organization to thump their chest and claim they care for their employees. Extra games and Thursday games are about one thing and one thing only….and it’s NOT player safety.
  2. Pretty cool intro for the Big 10 title game tonight! Fox promoting both CFB and IndyCar.
  3. Understand. Most unions scream for safety but settle for higher wages. They have been unable to prevent Goodell’s vision for more regular season games, Thursday night games with less body recovery time, and crown of head hits like the one I just showed. Sorry, but find NFL push for player safety a little disingenuous.
  4. I just don’t buy player safety focus by the NFL. They continue to add games to the schedule and allow heads shots like this with zero flags. Was sickening to watch this live. Goodell and his cronies are so full of crap that their eyes are brown. Selling the “perception” of care.
  5. Good keep for the Lions.
  6. Schwarbs!
  7. Well if Foster Brooks says it…..
  8. I just wonder if they will lose more in the portal. Guess the current roster wanted DC Smith. Micah Parsons stated he would not return to the school if they passed on Smith.
  9. Read that....crazy.....
  10. Great question..... Given Penn State's current recruiting class, he still may. But money always wins.....
  11. To no surprise, DeBoer confirms no interest in Penn State HC position https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/47203688/kalen-deboer-denies-interest-leaving-alabama-penn-state
  12. Don't sell yourself short Coach....I found this video of you on Celebrity Jeopardy. That right there is intellect and star power!
  13. I do think NIL has become the great equalizer....the schools that are willing to spend, improve quickly with the right leadership. Besides IU, another case study is Texas Tech. Look at them to stay on top....I just viewed their 2026 schedule and it makes IU's look like a guantlet. People don't give TTU crap for their schedule this season, but their SOS is 59. It is even easier next year. Take this, with their spending with a good coach...I don't see them going anywhere out of the picture. Transfer portal...as you have repeatedly pointed out, HS signing day not nearly the deal it used to be....if kids don't play and play pretty quickly, they are moving....and they will follow playing time and $$. (obviously go together) Again, this allows schools that traditionally don't pull in a roster of 4 and 5 stars to get talent a year or 2 down the road from other teams. It would also be interesting to study the track records of university presidents and the role they play with success. President Whitten spent a few years at Georgia and I believe that factors heavily on her vision to invest in football at IU. Coach Cignetti has indicated several times how strongly he feels about his AD and President. Note: didn't realize prior to IU, she was the president at Kennesaw State...now I know why they are on the schedule.
  14. Well, if he did have any question in his mind about LSU, that most likely closed the deal.... He was scarred after that experience....heck, I am just watching it!!
  15. that's interesting....Teams that beat the expectations included Indiana, Texas Tech, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma. Teams that failed to meet expectations include Texas, Penn State, Clemson, LSU, Arizona State, Illinois, South Carolina, Florida, SMU, Kansas State, SMU. To a lesser extent, Iowa State, Tennessee Would seem the "experts" sure missed way more than they got right with the preseason predictions.
  16. Well...I am one old dude......
  17. Coach Mal would be great. Don't forget former CG assistant to Coach Moore and already southsider Jayson West at FC. Has already won 3 largest class football state championships at 2 different high schools.
  18. Penn State....what a cluster..... Some potential leading candidates after being jilted time and time again. https://www.pennlive.com/pennstatefootball/2025/12/penn-states-coaching-search-turns-chaotic-who-are-candidates-now.html
  19. I just saw this....wow Now that will keep a FBS college football championship coach awake at nights......😆
  20. I hear ya....some anyhow. Don't lose to Florida (dismal season) by 8 points and don't get blown out by Georgia. The wins over Vandy (barely) and A&M were at home. The Longhorns had to go to OT to get wins against Kentucky and Miss State. (not impressive at all) BTW, UT did play UTEP at home....only won 27-10. They also played San Jose State and Sam Houston. (both at home)
