    I sure hope so if that’s the new equation for success. I was blown away reading how much A&M spent this year and assume Texas is close. Big time oil money. I think the president spent time on staff at Georgia and understands what football can mean to a school.

    Way too defensive. You complimented IU on their purchase. I simply returned the compliment about ND doing same with Love and noticed both team have a similar approach to total NIL football investment in 2025. Nothing negative from my end. I’m going to assume you were sincere with your original post about a good purchase.

    That’s fine. Their decision is the only one that matters. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t risk. Now this “guarantee” they have put in place reduces the risk for sure.

    No debate. Not sure what your driving? Yes, IU spent money on Mendoza. Yes, ND spent money on Love. Both made great investments. Both spent about the same level of total NIL football money in 2025 which is way below schools like Texas A&M. Guessing they will have to spend more in the future to compete.

    If you compare him to QB’s. Where was his ranking for RB’s? Credit ND…great return for their investment. When one researches NIL football budgets for ND and IU, shows very similar.

    It’s not bait man!! Again, 2nd fav college team. But ND took funds over joining a conference. That decision bit them this year. People can play victim all they want…but ND did have control and made some choices, and they took the $$. My guess is there will be changes in the future. How soon? Anyone’s guess.

    Tough ending for Army. Thought they had the upset. Congrats Navy winning the CIC. Way more important than any bowl game. Special tradition!!

    But they chose $$ years ago and decided to stand alone. Followed a weaker half in, half out ACC path. Risk caught up with them.

    Because of what happened this year. They can’t schedule all they want. Teams play tough enough schedules in their own conferences. It will get tougher for ND and their SOS will continue to struggle. Challenging Gordon Gecko, greed isn’t always good.
