Temp’s hot take…mark the tape…a MAX of 2 more wins for the Hoosiers in 2022.

That might be pushing it....first half, they were slapped around by a FCS team.

I do like the play of true frosh McCullough....and Cam Jones....but they need a ton of help

Martinsville is far enough away from Indy that it likely won't be affected much by suburbanization. Much of the growth along I-69 will likely happen in the Center Grove district (which I-69 runs through for a while before it bends into Morgan County and Martinsville).

I think you are correct...although it will be interesting to see if any significant development starts in northern Morgan County, just south of SR144, which is the last Center Grove exit in Johnson County.  (that may feed the Mooresville school system)

Whiteland's school district wraps around Greenwood's and includes all of the unincorporated land east of Greenwood in Johnson County. It actually borders Marion County for more miles than Center Grove does.

While that is true, it is still land that includes or connects directly to Greenwood.  I am not sure why Greenwood gave us so much school district land either in or just outside their city limits to Whiteland...perhaps they are limited on growth options.  Regardless, I think most people in Johnson County consider Whiteland and Franklin to be mid Johnson county in terms of their location.  Is that still Indy metro area? I would say so being a donut county.

It’s pretty well known…one of the worst kept secrets.

We will see how they do long terms without Elliott and Venables.

Gonna go on record today calling them to not make the CFP.

You can make it with a game manager at QB if you have an elite D.  But DJ isn’t a game manager.

Like I said before, if its on the internet, it has to be true....right?

Not disagreeing with your thoughts about making the CFP.

    He's worth every penny.

Bench DJ for the true freshman needs to be his first million dollar move. They are a playoff team with a competent QB. Their defense is lights out once again.

I concur....just having fun with Tempation who claims to know him and his character from his google searches.....

I said I'd eat my crow. I will too. I don't duck it. I could be very wrong. No disrespect to Center Grove. I have a great deal of respect for the Trojans.

I just think BD is a different squad with Thomas Gotkowski at QB. It's definitely the biggest test of the year. It just wouldn't surprise me to see the Trojans have to take a breath. They've played three big games in a row against three powerhouses. Ben Davis is REALLY solid in all three phases. I mean as solid as I've seen them in a long time. Maybe some of the young Giants won't be ready for the stage as this will be a big game.

I just go with my gut feeling, and I feel that BD is ready for a breakout against CG. But, as I've often said, I once picked the Buffalo Bills to win the Super Bowl.

No doubt BD is tough, and that is saying something that you think they are different, given they are back to back semi-state teams.  Playing BD is always tough, especially on the west side.  And no doubt, been a tough set of games for CG.  What a gauntlet their first 4 games....I agree they have to be feeling it.

14 points just seemed like a big spread...but I like the confidence.

Pike missed a big play in the first quarter to a wide open receiver. I wonder how that might have changed the game. As it stood, BD was in control in the game, and it might have been worse if not for a couple of penalties by BD. I don't see any way Pike beats Carmel. The Hounds win 28-0.

Ben Davis looks poised to finally end the long losing streak to CG. The Trojans still have won 30-straight over Indiana teams, but I feel like the Giants with Tommy G and Alijah Price and the stout defense turn the tide and snap the seven game skid. Gladly will eat my crow if I'm wrong. BD 35, CG 21

Warren still hasn't flipped the switch and played a 48 minute football game. LC is just creeping and creeping and creeping towards respectability. Will Patterson has done an amazing job. LC beats Warren, 21-20

LN needs this one. NC catching them on the rebound here might be an opportunity. We saw some life out of the Panthers against Warren. I think this one is more of a dogfight than many believe. LN wins in the end, 17-7.

BD 14 point spread against CG.  Interesting.....

This is the perfect example of where a change of scenery works in the favor of both parties. Penix gets another shot with a familiar coach in a familiar system while IU isn't handcuffed allowing Penix to command first team reps all summer only to lose him to another season ending injury. Indiana was able to go out and pick up a solid QB in their own right with Penix moving on. They would have been dead in the water this year had IU risked going all-in on MP and lost him to yet another injury.

No disagreement.....it was time to move on and the young transfer from Missouri shows a ton of promise....if they can protect him, he has some very nice receivers.

Meanwhile Penix was 26/39 with 4 TD passes for Washington.

Reunited with his old offensive coordinator at Indiana who is now Washington's head football coach, Kalen DeBoer

DeBoer left Indiana to become head football coach at Fresno State, the left for same position at Washington....thus Penix landing in Seattle, a long way from his Tampa home.

you weren't there in my guess so you would have no of knowing.

It did seem the officials allowed Penn State DB's to grab and hold a bunch....even announcers repeatedly highlighted and commented about this.  But, it wasn't the calls that did them in....a factor, but not nearly as big as decisions and execution in other facets of the game.

Poor tackling (fundamentals) and bonehead penalties/mistakes (discipline) is absolutely an extension of the head coach. That coupled with some pretty terrible clock management to end both halves cost Purdue dearly. That is absolutely on Brohm.

The repeated missed tackles on the TE rambling for the TD with 2 secs on the clock prior to the end of the first half was unforgiveable.

    This one’s on Brohm…

You had three drives to end the game…and continued to throw.

If you give a team three possessions in the final 5 minutes, the likelihood of them cashing in is pretty damn high.

Agree....horrific clock management, unless they felt they really couldn't move the ball on the ground.  Everytime the clock would stop on O with an incomplete pass, I would just cringe....

Here is a question to go along with that statement is CG offensive one of the hardest to prep for?

I kind of think of it as when a college team has to prep for the week to play a service academy.  (triple option or the flexbone triple option)  They will only see that offense once per year, so its a week of instructions and new assignments.

The service academies are typically smaller, so that advantage can be quickly overcome.  CG will balance up in overall size with Trinity.

It's interesting because, about 20ish years ago, you'd see multiple teams running a version of the Wing-T. In Central Indiana, Center Grove, Eastern Hancock, Mt. Vernon, Warren Central and a few others (Lawrence Central, maybe) were running it as their base offense. CG is about the only one left who still runs it. It's rare anymore to see a QB line up under center.

CG will do both with the QB in the WingT....under center and shotgun.

Yeah, I sort of feel like I am picking CG with my heart when my head says Trinity.  I am just not sure that Trinity has enough offensive firepower.  They only got a FG last week against Moeller.  20 points in two games, albeit against top notch competition.

One's thing for sure...Trinity is being forced to spend time on the Wing T this week in practice.  Guessing they don't see it a ton.
