  1. Should've done some more digging on the paper sent out. They have the plus by them which says at the bottom tournament eligible.
  2. Somebody help me out. I've heard Illiana Christian is playing football this year correct? They wouldn't be eligible for playoffs yet would they?
  3. Yes, I created this before the officially numbers were released. Will try to update before the end of the day and send it back out.
  4. Based on the numbers provided so far and assuming there won't be any changes when the IHSAA officially releases them(not counting on it), here's an idea of every class and the possible sectionals for each team based off of what I think will happen. I will admit I am most interested in 2A, so didn't put as much thought into the other 5 classes but I tried my best, enjoy. https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid=1NciF91zy63EMbqP18JsTnlvm4LFnG3o&usp=sharing
  5. I wonder what the hold up is for the IHSAA not officially releasing the numbers for the next cycle. In the past, this has been released mid-February I believe. Wonder what is holding things up.
  6. The idea of judging a team's schedule before the season is played is just crazy to me. How do we know Notre Dame is going to only play 3 ranked teams? How do we know those three ranked teams will be ranked at the end of the year? IU only having 3 ranked teams on their schedule? Give me a break, who knows what team could emerge in the Big Ten. I think it's been said on here and it's simple. Be like IU this last year, win them all and there isn't even a question of whether you are in or not no matter who you play.
  7. Wonder what the breakdown is per athlete on the team? Still a huge difference in mens and womens sports but I wonder if football per athlete is still getting the most money. My guess would be yes, but I wonder if basketball isn't really close.
  8. I really thought after a few years with Andy coaching them, he would get them to at least a winning record, great coach and an even better guy from my experiences talking with him and hearing even more about him. I fear Benton Central isn't a coaching problem, it is a culture problem that is gonna take a few years. I'm not saying Herb can't eventually make them better. I don't see it happening in year one. It's going to take time.
  9. Anyone hear or see anything yet?
  10. Based on numbers right now Guerin is 4A due to enrollment, so them and Chatard will probably not be in the same class even. Neither of the 3A North semistate teams will be in 3A next year. Knox will be 2A and Luers 4A, so there are two teams already that are moving from the North in 3A to different classes. With that being said, Andrean, Adams Central, and possibly Eastbrook are all going to potentially move up to 3A. There is going to be a lot of movement this next cycle based on the numbers potentially. I think you are correct in saying Chatard should end up 3A South, but I've seen crazier things happen. There was one cycle LCC all the way up in Lafayette played in a 2A south sectional lol.
  11. That I couldn't tell you, I just meant they are flipping spots in 3A and 4A. With the realignment year, who knows how the IHSAA will draw it up. Luers will definitely be in 4A North but Chatard could go either way
  12. For 3A? Luers is up in 4A due to success factor. So you could look at it as they just flipped spots.
  13. Rossville needs to get a football team for you to watch my friend. I applaud you for going to watch Frankfort year in and out
  14. Your statement still has some truth to it. Sectional 1 could still be interesting even though Penn probably won't be in it.
  15. Chatard has been in 3A North before. What makes sense to us and what the IHSAA chooses to do are two different things sometimes.
  16. Must have just looked at someone else. Could've sworn a large chunk of their yards came from underclassman, but I was very wrong. Other than the Farmer kid a lot of them are gone. Thank you for the correction. So no, no one is beating Chatard more than likely. Gibson Southern have any nice pieces coming back. Maybe them or Memorial give them a run for their money.
  17. Yes The usual 2A private powerhouses are all out of the class this year, at least in the North. Will be interesting to see who emerges out the 32 teams.
  18. It doesn't matter who they bump down, Indianapolis Chatard will be back in 3A so that team doesn't stand a chance. Although maybe Cascade can beat them, they bring back a lot.
  19. I know the feeling, Seeger isn't alone in having that problem at these smaller schools getting athletes to play more than one sport. Will be interesting to see with the realignment what happens. With being at Rochester we are a toss up for what sectional we land in. Up until 3 years ago, had no idea about Seeger or the rest of the WRC. Long bus ride from Rochester to Seeger that year. Was very worried how our guys would perform with the long trip. Some of our kids that was the farthest from Rochester they had ever been. Seeger had a very impressive team that year.
  20. Does Seeger have anything coming back? I thought they had a decent team last year, but Cass put it to them in the Sectional. Definitely wasn't on my bingo card
  21. The site has a pm button for a reason. No need to stir up things about a school or an individual and their family just for the sake of a thread getting attention.
  22. Throw the Hot Dogs in there with them in 4A. As long as they have a weiner dog on the sidelines every game named Frank or Oscar. The year of the cinderella stories.
  23. Great points here! Just to piggy back off of this, a lot of these personal trainers are coaching things that we as coaches will never coach due to the system we use. An example, if you are a running back, your personal trainer might be working with you on cuts, balance, acceleration, footwork, agility, and other things of that nature. In our offense, the first thing we learn as HB is how to block. If you can't block in our offense, i don't care how good you look with the ball in your hands, you can't play HB for us. You could be a great Kick Returner or Punt Returner for us, but HB is out of the question if you can't block. Probably not something you hear typically when talking about running back or half back position.
