    Well done, cousin. Good luck to you guys too. Should be the best crowd at Central in quite a while. Funny story - a few years ago (2018 I think) as MD's busses were parking at Enlow, Coach Goebel stepped off right as I was walking from the stadium out toward the tailgate. I said "Good luck Coach". And with a squared jaw and eyes of steel, he said "You don't mean that..."

    Kinda surprised nobody has mentioned the Buehler's Buy-Low Grocery - East trophy given to the winner of the annual Wk. 9 match-up between Evansville Bosse and Evansville Harrison. It ranks right up there with Floyd of Rosedale and the Old Oaken Bucket if you ask me..

    Heck, we are lucky just to have 2 newspaper reporters who cover local HS sports for the Courier. Both do a great job, but man they are spread thin...

    Reitz at Mater Dei - Gotta go with the more disciplined team in this one. MD 27 - 13 Bosse at Harrison - Bosse is just not good. HHS 35-12 Lincoln at Jasper - Jasper seems to be putting some things together. Give me the JCats 24-17 North at Central - Central won't be able to stop the run. North 42-7 Castle at Memorial - Game of the Week. SIAC on the line. Throwbacks at Bosse Field. Tigers 34-14

    I remember seeing a Memorial soccer game or two there in the late 1970's in the first year of the program (when it was actually co-ed). The field ran LF to RF.

    Yep, that was when the outfield fence was the actual brick wall. Now, with the shorter fence and "box" seating down the lines there isn't room to go that direction without removing structure the Otters don't want to move. I wouldn't want to do it every year, but once a decade is pretty cool.

    I really hope he gets a chance to play and has success. He had a bad break at Cincy that cost him two good years. It illustrates how incredible (and sometimes lucky) a player has to be to succeed at the college level.

    You do a great job with those previews, HHPatriots. I hope I get to see one including my Tigers in 3 weeks. Lots of history in that match-up.
