  1. Maybe so. I'm pretty confident in the 6A, 4A, 3A and 1A predictions. 5A will likely be out of the North, but admittedly 5A is probably pretty open. 2A is the one I feel least confident in, only because Mater Dei got so many votes, but I don't see them having enough this year to win it. Triton Central should be a contender. Luers and Andrean are always in the mix too.
  2. I predict all 6 state title winners will come from the teams who received a 1st place vote in these polls.
  3. The lack of 3 "d"s gives much away my friend. We teach better English than that at 1500 Lincoln...
  4. You mean you can't just #hashtag it into existence?
  5. I haven't heard anything yet... Here is the Courier preview of the Mighty Panthers: https://www.courierpress.com/story/sports/high-school/2023/08/04/ihsaa-football-evansville-reitz-season-preview/70481329007/ #discipline
  6. Looks great. Congrats to Washington and it appears they elected to not desecrate the field with soccer lines!
  7. Harrell has the last 10 years or so in the archive section
  8. That would be my bet too. I don't think there is anyone in Sectional 40 that can beat them.
  9. Reitz is going to have to win something before I would put them anywhere near the same category as East Central, Roncalli and New Pal. I think Reitz at #2 is as over-valued as Ev. Memorial being #6.
  10. I see this a lot on Facebook. We post our links to the official Indiana SRN link for our weekly live-streams, but still get phishing links in comments. I delete them every Friday afternoon to hopefully save our folks from scams..
  11. While I would not personally bet the O on 3.5 wins for Harrison in 2023, it is good to see the program trending upward and Coach Sutton deserves all the credit.
  12. I tend to agree, Coach. We use them in our program and while I can't point to any specific data, we seem to be experiencing less issues too. Anything that can be done to reduce impact is a good thing for the kids and the game overall.
  13. Interestingly enough, over the last 10 years Memorial and Mater Dei have each accumulated 15 Success Factor points. MD all in 2A and Memorial with 8 in 3A (2014-17) and 7 in 4A (2018-22). Head to head in that time the record is 6 W Blue, 4 W Red.
  14. That is asinine. I guess no Friday Night Lights in Evansville until October?
  15. Might help that its in Morrisville, NY, which is upstate and in the general vicinity of Rochester and Buffalo, but I agree 100% that black turf is gross. So is that red turf at the school near Bloomington...
  16. Matthew Fisher, Ev. Memorial. Only a junior, but likely the only current QB in SW Ind who would get D1 consideration. He has a offer from IU in baseball.
  17. No question. Castle was a very average, 4 loss SIAC team and advanced to Semi-State...
  18. I didn't attend in person, but watched the stream and it was sad. It didn't take a behavioral specialist to see what players were instigating much of the issues, and the matter may have been avoided by simply benching them early on. Whether the coaches had 3 days or three years, its pretty easy to take a kid's helmet and tell him to enjoy the rest of the game from the sidelines.
  19. How many teams have won state after being bumped up? I can think of 3 - Cathedral, New Pal and Ev. Memorial.
  20. MD certainly has worthy credentials and has proven itself to be a top-notch 2A program year after year. @Screagle Ev. Memorial has 16 Sectionals, 11 Regionals, 5 Semi-States and 2 State titles (3A & 4A); Reitz has 16 Sectional, 6 Regionals, 2 Semi-States and 2 State titles (4A); and Heritage Hills has 13 Sectionals, 10 Regionals, 3 Semi-States and 1 State title (3A).
  21. Emailed with Dan today. He is not doing the weekly shows, just the previews.
