  1. Congrats on a great run. How is the kid who got carted off?
  2. Slugging out a 4A/5A schedule makes a huge difference come November.
  3. How so? Won in 3A, got moved to 4A and didn't get the points to stay so they came back down.
  4. The 4A South semi state teams look like varsity. The 5A South teams looks like JV. Are you watching Roncalli at East Central? It's in OT and EC is about to win if they can hit a FG. FG in OT sends EC to LOS.
  5. Good Lord. The difference between 4A South and 5A South is pretty remarkable.
  6. I apologize. I have too many games going and thought this one was in the 3Q. Linton is not out of this. yet...
  7. No first downs for Linton so far. Congrats MD. Back to back appearances at state is not easy to do.
  8. LOL. Let me clarify.. Starters. Good luck to both teams. Two great programs with great traditions. Should be a doozy. I'll be watching from home with a glass of Brown-Foreman's finest and my lap Doberman to keep me warm.
  9. 1992 was Danville except colder and frozen mud instead of artificial turf. The lights did work the entire game though..
  10. Whichever team has the fewest players wearing long sleeves will win.
  11. Ev. Memorial at Cathedral in 1992 3A South Semi-State at Arlington. Field was nothing but slushy frozen mud and a sleet/snow mix was blowing at 20+ mph. Punts into the wind almost went backwards. By far the coldest I have ever been in my life.
  12. Yep, no meetings between the Miners and Tigers. Memorial has played Cathedral 11 times ('25, '26, '40, '42, '45, '52-'55, '91 & '92). The Irish hold a 8-3 advantage. I can't believe it has been 30 years since the 1992 semi-state game at Arlington. It was a bit chilly that night and the mud was covered by a thin layer of ice.
  13. I do not believe we have ever played in football.
  14. LOL. You mean you think some posters have multiple personality disorders?
  15. But maybe enough time to instill some discipline...
  16. Amen and well said. Glad to hear you are doing well kingtut. Any school would be lucky to have a supporter as loyal and knowledgeable as you.
  17. I'm gonna guess it was a bulldog and not a lion, tiger or bear (oh my!)...
  18. I thought during the tournament the IHSAA requires the host school to maintain neutrality. Shouldn't that mean cannons, whistles, bells, smoke, fireworks and other noisemakers and "special effects" be disallowed? What is the rule and who is responsible for enforcing it?
  19. Changing the playing surface at Lucas Oil (if even possible) could have some negative implications for Indiana HS football...
