I don't think there is any way around it. IMO it looked far worse than what it really was and the ref could easily just have given him a PF. To eject a kid when there isn't a "fight" seems harsh, knowing at the point the game was all but over and it would mean he had to sit out.

About the only thing I would describe as potentially being a weakness for EC is the kicking game. The big question is whether Memorial can keep the game close enough for it to ever matter. By the way, EC Trojan Media does a really nice job with their livestream broadcasts.

MD was a little more stout on the DL last year, but I would definitely give the Cats the edge playing at Reitz Bowl. Rain isn't going to impact the game as much as it would on Linton's grass.

That probably has more to do with the IHSAA not wanting to have an inordinate amount of time between the end of a running clock game and the start of the next game. Logistically it would be impossible to start a game early.

EC is probably out of school on Friday for Veteran's Day. The Saturday conflict between the Regional football game and the Bosse craft show was definitely an issue last year. The Tigers will have our hands full in this one. Yep, Mt. Vernon Fortville broke the jinx last year. I believe Coach Lidy wearing shorts in sub-35 degree weather may have somehow offset the effects of the Enlow "Eastern to Central Time Zone Travel spell".

Maybe more of a feeling that Reitz looked past Boonville. Having seen what Reitz was capable of doing on either side of the ball, and seeing what they did (or more correctly, didn't do against Boonville), I myself wonder if the Panthers hadn't overlooked the Pioneers a little bit.

Overall that is a good showing. Won 3 of the 4 sectionals that included SIAC teams. All 3 face tough matchups this week though.

I would like to suggest that the crew who did our game consider investing in WR gloves or old fashioned stick-um. Have never seen more drops and fumbles just getting the ball passed from sideline to spot. Must have all been lineman in HS...

Congrats to Boonville on a great season. Coach Ward is a class act and Bennett Field is a great environment. And the German bologna sandwiches are unmatched.

Boonville has asked Memorial fans to park in the lot South of the gym. The tailgate rally point will be in the circled area. Best get there early if you want a seat. In 2019 it was pretty packed.

As does Memorial lately. Clay Conner will be the best athlete on the field. Did I see/hear that RB Reece Wilder came out of the game early on? Only had 8 carries for 30 yds in the game.

Boonville is also a darn good football team.

I feel 100% the same way. Good for Pike Central! Maybe they can get some interest growing with the young kids and start building something. BTW, their last tournament win was in 2002 according to John Harrell.
