  1. LOL. I believe so. I ran out of salmon for the dogs.
  2. That O was pretty well suited to LOS turf too...
  3. No question GS was tremendous in 2015. How many fumbles did Chatard have?
  4. Yeah, I would think he would. Any great coach is going to want multi-sport kids. That is the big conflict with us too. Travel baseball is insane.
  5. How does some of that summer stuff impact multi-sport players? I don't follow much basketball or baseball, so I don't have any sense of whether GS has a lot of 2 and 3 sport players. I know Titan32's son played basketball, but that's about it. Personally, I think some of that summer stuff is overkill, but it is creating a commitment level that is unmatched. I suppose that is but one reason why GS is separating itself from the rest of the PAC.
  6. No way a team can prepare for the weather per se, but a team that has faced adversity is more likely to be mentally tougher than a team that curb-stomped everyone all year. I realize it wasn't a weather game, but a perfect example is 2012 GS beating Charlestown in 3A Regional. Charlestown hadn't faced adversity all season and killed people. When they got up on GS and GS didn't quit and came battling back, Charlestown well, you know.
  7. Maybe playing a tougher schedule better prepares a team to handle adversity, whether it be the opponent or bad weather. What is that line I see on here sometimes about ifs and buts being my aunt's candies and nuts and my uncle having a wonderful Christmas?
  8. HH used to have a train horn at one time.
  9. I obviously don't know this, but I wonder if that Memorial loss (and maybe more so the way VL lost) may have been a huge mental blow to the Alices. I know Jasper has gotten healthy and will be a very tough out, but I really expected VL to bounce back and give the Cats more of a game on Friday. Doesn't look like it was though. Hunt is the slipperiest player I've seen in a while, so I'll be interested to see if he can get some mojo going against GS. I'm not giving up on my Harrison over Boonville prediction just yet, but I definitely would have liked for Harrison to beat Bosse by more than 2 scores last week. I understand that other than handful of plays, Boonville didn't do all that much. Harrison had success against a depleted Jasper by stopping the run, so maybe they can use that blueprint and upset the Pioneers. Honestly though, if I was betting real money I would take the PAC over SIAC in both match-ups. And based on my last few weeks on FanDuel that just might be the kiss of death to the Titans and Pioneers.
  10. Reitz should be there ahead of any of teams listed from 20-25.
  11. I hope so, but the Alices have nose-dived into a 3 game losing skid.
  12. Combination of all 3? MD is peaking at the right time. Reitz is beatable. And anything can happen in the Nut Club game.
  13. I agree. Going into Harrison after getting taken to the woodshed the week before is not the ideal scenario.
  14. I'm not sure Juan had all the proper paperwork and may have been deported.
  15. They don't seem to have any voices on the GID, but by far the most interesting game of Round 1 will be Boonville at Harrison. Harrison has some speed and a much improved OL/DL. They sure shocked the SIAC in Wk 2 with the upset of Jasper, but Jasper was missing a lot. The Thomas kid at TE could be a big weapon, but they didn't hardly use him against us, which was a surprise. Harrison will certainly go into the game with some mojo as they should be able to get a fairly easy win over Bosse this week. I would not surprise me at all if Harrison can pull the upset in Round 1. Jasper and Memorial will both be rooting for the Warriors.
  16. Somewhat off topic, but does anyone know what happened to Herman Byers Ghost on twitter? I really enjoyed following him, but he seems to have < gulp > vanished... I thought for sure he would be back with the Panthers resurgence this season.
  17. GS plays a tougher opponent 1st round than OV, so lesser chance to win Sectional. But if they win Sectional, they have a greater chance of winning Regional, etc.
  18. I cannot imagine MD would want to play at Castle. Grass, huge crown, etc. I bet it's at Central..
  19. I think MD will roll in Sectional. By the time Regional rolls around they will be humming and ready for anyone.
  20. Because all the sectional teams get an equal split of the gate. A 10th regular season game between two bad teams isn't going to generate anywhere close to that amount. Look at Sectional 30. Washington and Pike Central will still get 1/8 of the gate from all 7 sectional games. The 3 games on the bottom are not going to be great gates (unless WV has a good fan base), but the 3 on the top are big gate games. If GS is in the final (very likely) it will be a big gate no matter who is one the other side. As bad as it is, the first round match-up between Wash. & PC will likely draw more fans as a tournament game than as a 10th reg. season game bc neither has had many tournament wins (PC 1 & WHS 16).
  21. Memorial will have 2 straight games at Enlow - 3 if you count this week...
  22. Reitz or Boonville would host either Jasper or Memorial in the final.
  23. QB sweep. D strung out the play and he was close to sideline when he dove. The pics would have been after the player was allegedly OOB.
  24. LOL. Listen to the coaches interview on the WZDM livestream after the game. Coach Salters had some serious red @ss going on.
