I missed hearing the broadcast that always sounded like coverage of the Springfield Isotopes. Dohhh!

Interesting. Did he move? -
Actually, Reitz is the big landing spot. Memorial and Mater Dei each only got 1 from Central. Reitz has them from Central and 1-2 others from what I hear. Bottom line is kids should be able to go wherever they want. How did the JCats look?

Agreed. I think MD is the heaviest favorite of the week.

THS has 17 wins since 2015. I predict the Titans start 2022 with a big W. -

The long off-season is finally over. Who starts 2022 with a W? Castle at North ©, 7 pm Harrison at Reitz ©, 7 pm Mater Dei at Central ©, 7 pm Memorial at Jasper ©, 6:30 pm Vincennes at Bosse ©, 6:30 pm Wives, dogs and homely step-children are safe on the west side Friday night as "R" boys will roll Harrison at the Bowl and the Wildcats will put a running clock on everyone's former high school. O/U on Blake Herdes TDs is 1.5 and EFHS unsportsmanlike conduct penalties is 3.5. Lincoln at Bosse should be a good game. A W for either would a great way to start. I'll take Lincoln by 1 TD. After Reitz, North is probably the next most-hyped team. Lots of talk about multiple D1 prospects in the trenches and whether the Huskies can finish above the elusive .500 mark for the time since <checks notes> 2007? Castle is undersized and the Huskies aren't. I'll take the North by 2 TDs. O/U on Coach Nero flying chest bumps is 9.5. Memorial will be without a few key pieces and Jasper is a tough place to get a W early in the regular season. Memorial's strength is the size & experience up front, so I expect Coach Hurley to pound the ball like it's 1988. I'll go with my completely biased instincts and take the Tigers by 7. Sad we won't hear Walt Ferber on the WITZ 104.7 pregame show.

Don't assume the new writers understand the format. Plus they try to take video for social media so they have a lot going on. She was down at the corner near the drain / sink hole so she was looking into the sun for the first 45 mins. The biggest take-away for me was how small Castle was and although I was looking west too, I counted less than 60 on the squad. I was pleasantly surprised to see some good depth at WR and our D was better than I expected. Jasper will be a tough Wk1 test (as always) with us having a few guys out. Hopefully we'll get Rode for Wk.2.

Anybody know what happened? Or why the QB wasn't in an alternate jersey?

LOL. Love his music, but that movie was a dog. -
I know nothing about what they still have, but Bosse lost some pretty solid players to graduation. I could see Harrison getting 3 wins.

Just everyone.

I predict it will be a 2 or even 3 way tie at the top this year and I'll be shocked if anyone can run the table. I just hope Memorial has everybody for Central in Wk. 3. And I mean everybody.. Wk. 4 at the Bowl should be a fun one. Memorial is riding a 5 game win streak against the Wildcats that can't sit well with Coach Goebel.

Push for neutral sites

After Sectionals the IHSAA gets the gate revenue after paying officials, a modest host site fee, modest travel stipend, and the revenue from the first 200 tickets being split between the 2 participating schools. A home team/town crowd plus 1 loyal traveling fan group is going to produce more gate revenue than 2 loyal traveling fan groups, plus site host expenses and travel stipends would likely increase. As a loyal traveling fan, the atmosphere is what I would miss most. As bad a drive as it is, I'd rather play East Central in St. Leon than in Sellersburg. -
Why. Do you think the IHSAA is going to change its decision?

LOL. It's not sexy, it's a snake oil to dab the wounds of losses in 2016-2018 when GS had rattled off 3 straight wins against relatively bad Memorial teams and thought it had entered an era where annual runs deep into the playoffs would be the norm. What happened to those very good GS teams in the 3 year stretch of losses to Memorial is the same thing that happened to them in 2019 & 2020 losses to HH & SR - GS just got beat by a better team on that particular night. If a p/p's effective enrollment should be 15-20% higher (which incorrectly assumes a p/p has zero dead-weight students) then GS and Memorial are already "effectively" the same size (550 v. 700). I think you like to say GS is similar to MD simply because GS hasn't played them. How do the rosters compare? GS has had more kids on its roster than Memorial in recent years. Heck, MD has had more kids on its roster than Memorial for quite a long time. Shouldn't Memorial have more kids on its roster in your sexy scenario?

BS. It should not matter. Two moves. Why punish the kid, unless there is someone (or more than one person) who is in a position of great influence, who has a vendetta? It's about the kids, right...?
-
Why not? What if you've moved twice and both schools say the transfer was not due to athletic reasons? Just punish the kid because of where he wants to transfer? That is BS..

Today must be Tango's day in the barrel... LOL.
