  1. What does that mean?
  2. I thought Outlaws and Inlaws had a nice ring.
  3. Memorial, North and Reitz get the "bye" this week. I predict none will give up any scores until the JV enters the game. Castle beats Lincoln 27-13. GOTW is the Wildcat fight at Reitz Bowl. There were 4 big plays in the last 80 seconds last week that MD failed to make, which allowed Memorial to get the improbable OT W. I suspect it's been a good week of practice on Harmony Way. MD will bounce back with a 24-10 win over Jasper. So here is my question... When will the SIAC decide that 2 divisions in football would greatly benefit the hapless Bosse, Central and Harrison programs? At a combined 1-11, their only chance at winning comes when they play each other (Central got its W against Bosse). They hardly have any lower-level teams (cub/frosh). Every year its "we are young at most positions", which means little retention from year to year. You can't hardly blame the kids, nobody wants to put in the work just to get your @$$ handed to you every week. The coaches sound positive on the weekly shows, but what can they do? Put the 5 EVSC schools in 1 division and Castle, Jasper, Mater Dei and Memorial in the other. None of those 4 schools really want to play Central, Harrison or Bosse.
  4. Jasper already picked up an opponent to fill the Wk. 9 spot for VL in 2026.
  5. Do you mean the Hakka Tua? That I have no idea....
  6. I think it says we won after being down 14 with 80 seconds left.
  7. A Hoosier who follows all football in the state didn't know VL announced they were leaving the SIAC. Don't fear, it had nothing to do with GS...
  8. LOL. You're kind of right. Isn't real convenient from anywhere except Sullivan and Washington. It will save the remaining SIAC schools some travel costs (especially for the non-revenue sports). Maybe not Jasper so much, but they have plenty of moolah in Dubois Co. anyway.
  9. Moving to the WIC - Western Indiana Conference. They just could not compete at the upper levels of the SIAC in any sport.
  10. I heard there was some discussion between Memorial and New Pal, but I don't know if that is going anywhere. I can't imagine us ever scheduling a 6A, unless it was a lower-tier 6A, similar to what GS did a few years ago playing Southport. I would love to see Memorial and MD do something with Indy-are Catholic schools, but the SIAC's problem is the non-conf games will never be on the same weeks because of only having 1 open spot with the departure of Vincennes. It's why the SIAC need to go to 2 divisions and get Bosse, Harrison, Central off the schedules, plus they hardly have any fans so our homes games with them are essentially just our fans for the gate. I'd like the EVSC schools to be in 1 division and Castle, Jasper, Memorial and MD in another. That would really open things up for some good scheduling options.
  11. Beginning next season, the SIAC will be a 9 member conference which will enable all schools to schedule 1 non-conference game.
  12. Ev. Reitz Memorial (currently 3A #1) is looking for a Wk. 8 game series beginning next year. I believe that is KY Wk. #7. I have passed your post along to our AD.
  13. I was not aware NP got bumped up this year. I thought they were 5A last year too. My mistake...
  14. I believe under the new rules, if NewPal wins at least a Regional this year, they would bump because they accumulated 4 points last year with the state title.
  15. I beg to differ. I was pretty clinched at Enlow Friday.
  16. It doesn't have to make sense, it's the EVSC.
  17. Curtail tailgating and get people home earlier. You have to remember, the EVSC controls the vote and for them, 3 of the 5 football programs are burdens.
  18. Memorial called TO. Many are calling it the Lazarus TO.
  19. I agree 100%.
  20. I think after using SRN for a couple of years we realized we could do it ourselves and not have to pay SRN. Jevin Redman does play by play and Mike Skavara does color, plus Josh Woody from WREF keeps stats. We have sponsors during the game.
  21. My thought exactly. A top 6A school driving 2.5 hrs to play a tiny 1A school? Makes no sense whatsoever.
  22. Pretty proud of the job the Tiger Sports Network has done so far with our broadcasts. We took it in house this year after a few years with Indiana SRN. No charge to watch. Big numbers so far, especially for away games.
  23. Its usually on the sideline
  24. Me neither.
  25. LOL. Here is another: "Don't make too big of a jackass out of yourself from all the way down in Evansville." Imagine someone calling me, an overfed, long-haired, leaping gnome - a jackass...
