Yep, Coach Nero has done a nice job in his first year at North

Tuition-wise, probably not much if they are both diocesan schools. Same thing with Reitz Memorial and Mater Dei in Evansville. Tuition is the same at both. Memorial probably has more funds available for needs-based grants, but otherwise they are pretty much identical.

Leather helmets.. LOL. Wow. 40 years ago for the first football game between the two schools. We won 48-0 for our first Sectional title in the 5 class era, but I can't remember where that game was though... Do you?

I hadn't thought of it, but that might also be a potential solution to a couple of the struggling programs down here too. -
Not much excitement this week. Everybody must be on Franklin Street... Hope everyone had an undefeated holy stromboli from the Tiger Athletics Booth, conveniently located near Sportsman's Bar. This may be the most lopsided slate of the season. Jasper hosting North is probably the best match-up. Final SIAC appearance at Enlow Field for the Lincoln Alices.

And BTW, we were 5-1 against GS before any Lindauer or Combs ever set foot in the school, but I realize that in your mind Indiana HS football began in 2012.

But you seem to be the only one constantly complaining about the metro schools (which we all know what you mean). On the bright side, if GS does beat Memorial in the Sectional this year, at least you'll be able to say you beat us when we had more than 4 wins. 😀

Nah, I really don't care about the polls or Sagarin. I think everyone knows that with the win over HH, GS is the clear favorite in 3A South. As my fellow Tiger fan said in another topic, we have issues that could easily come back to bite us in a match-up against a team the caliber of GS.

IMO... North is better than in 2024, mainly because of the new coach. Castle lost some pretty good talent and is not as good as in 2024.

We haven't played near the quality of schedule that GS has. Beating HH was an impressive W. On Sagarin, I really have no idea. The order of SIAC teams looks about right I guess.

How accurate is Sagarin for the closed SIAC? Regardless, HH and GS are clearly the top 2 teams in SW Indiana and heavy favorites come tournament time.
