  1. Looks like 3 very competitive games on paper. Would not surprise me to see the PAC go 3-0 this weekend.
  2. Maybe they want to make it more convenient for fans who want to travel? Driving 2 plus hours on a Friday night makes it tough for folks who can't take off work early.
  3. Interesting note, Ev. Memorial (enrollment 556), is the smallest school still alive in the tournament with the exception of 1A teams, 2A teams and 3A Knox (553).
  4. Very much appreciated. I imagine the MD folks were pretty happy to see Reitz get beat. It would take an upset of biblical proportions this week. Like Reitz, East Central will be bigger, faster and stronger than us at every position, but unlike Reitz, they are also very disciplined and won't have the encroachment, personal fouls and unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. The good news is East Central will move up to 5A when they win state, so we might have a slightly better chance in 4A the next 2 years.
  5. I agree. EC is that good, but at least Reitz is turning in equipment on Monday. #discipline
  6. LOL to anyone who thought the Tigers were "praying" to drop down to 3A. A classic performance by a team pretty much out-manned at very spot. Hurley is easily SIAC coach of the year.
  7. If it is PPV, then Memorial should get the broadcast fee out of the first $. One more reason to hate the IHSAA...
  8. Great preview and I love the graphics. This has the makings of a running clock massacre.
  9. GS games are on the Bash 89.1. I think you can listen online, but @Titan32 would know for certain.
  10. My predictions: 5A - North @ Castle. Harrell has North -3, but I question whether North can win two big games in a row. McCool is a tough RB, so I'll go with Castle 24-14. 4A - Reitz @ Memorial. Either way the winner gets their a$$e$ run through the Ringer the next week by East Central. Harrell has Reitz -14. I'd love to go with my heart and pick my Tigers, but Reitz has too many weapons and our O is limited. Reitz 35-13. 3A - VL @ Gibson Southern. Harrell has GS -4. Both teams have some explosive, experienced players. I'll take GS 35-34 in OT - VL goes for 2, GS has 12 on the field, stuffs the play and the refs miss it, which is the 2023 formula for a PAC team to beat an SIAC team..... Good luck to all teams.
  11. Yep, those pictures look pretty incredible. As long as they put AC in the visitor's locker room we will be happy. I wonder if they are selling seat licenses for the primo seats. And I'm serious..
  12. Based on your NP prognostications, I would say this bodes well for VL.
  13. As someone who remembers watching Memorial & Jasper going at it in various sports since 1977, I take great pride in knowing my Tigers christened Jasper's new turf in 2017 with an 18-7 W and closed the casket on old Alumni Stadium with a 17-14 win this past weekend. Congrats to Jasper for what will be an awesome upgrade. I can't wait to see it next August. https://schmidt-arch.com/schmidt-associates-creates-hype-around-jasper-alumni-stadium-project/#:~:text=It will include a new, have presented a significant challenge.
  14. I think what he's really getting at is you'll lose this Friday so Coach Salters won't have any more radio shows...
  15. They do it in the lesser-attendance finals (baseball, soccer), but I've never seen anything other than 1/3/5 & 2/4/6 in football
  16. BINGO! The EVSC schools wanted to put the clamps on tailgating so they pushed the ADs to agree to move the start times up to 6:30. Now that the host schools determine, Memorial and Castle did what should have been done all season long.
  17. I assume a HS kid.. LOL No question NP is a solid team. When it was 28-14 I thought NP was done for, but they showed some grit coming back and tying it up. As for the SIAC games, the Reitz / MD game definitely surprised me as I expected Reitz would beat MD by 35. Our game against MD was ugly, which isn't altogether unexpected in that rivalry. I was happy we held them to 6 points.
  18. I don't disagree and made that argument last week when we were hearing how NP was going to blow MD out because MD beat Tell City by 1 score and NP blew Tell City out.
  19. I wouldn't say giving up 28 points to 3-win MD is stout. MD only scored 28 against two SIAC opponents - Central (0W) and Harrison (1W).
  20. Reitz and Memorial will be on Indiana SRN via ihsaatv.org
