CIC sectional championship round
CoachVeatch replied to franktonite's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
I went over to that game, tremendous fight by the Indians. It would have been easy to abandon their plan with Marion's speed and big play abilities. But they kept on pounding, and that goal line stand was the difference. Coach Funk's crew played harder for longer. Congrats -
HUDL Sideline vs Heaters
CoachVeatch replied to irishuncle411's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
2 years ago we hosted a regional game. We were told (from the top) that if we had a sideline heater that we had to provide one for the other team to keep the site "neutral". Now, supposedly PA announcers are also not supposed to show bias, and home field advantage isn't supposed to be a thing. We all know the powers that be don't care to enforce any of these things makes one wonder why these rules exist. -
The better team ALWAY’s wins
CoachVeatch replied to southend's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
I would say the team with more TALENT doesn't always win. But if a team plays better for one night and wins, well in my not so important opinion they were the better team. -
Thank you!

As a lineman this is what I lived for right here. Snow is better than rain anyway. RTDB

Hoosier Heritage Should Ask New Pal to Leave

Apparently DT has never seen Mount Vernon's indoor turf field facility . And who the HC is....no commitment to football....you're made of spare parts aren't ya bud? -
Endzone Camera Protocol
CoachVeatch replied to Tanka Jahari's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
It's true! I read this in the Geneva Convention. -
Granted we're in 1A but the last 2 years we were in a sectional where Clinton Prairie (almost Lafayette) and Union City (pretty much Ohio) played each other. That's a haul. The IHSAA gerrymander's a bit I'm sure because just looking at the map, they don't do it the easy way.

Big Games 1A/2A Week 5
CoachVeatch replied to Miner_Pride's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Thanks @Miner_Pride for always covering and giving good hype to small school football. Outside of the FW area, there isn't much coverage givin to small schools in the eastern part of the state. Always love seeing your write-ups. -

At Ball State we used to call that "Getting out the harpoon" at 3am when The Chug closed. -

Fixed it... Pizza is not real food. I'm sick and tired of getting dirty looks when I wear my grease stained pizza jacket around town, and having to quickly stop to explain to people that what they've seen is not real food, and that it's not all a joke. I busted my Butt playing pizza critic in school, from the time I earned my first fat roll in 96 to the time I hit 300lbs in 2002, I even set the school record for most slices eaten, one which I am extremely proud of, and hope it remains for a long time. Then I move out to indiana 2 years ago, and get compared to these 1a pizza joints, this is a sham. I suggest these schools replace pizza with a wholesome food like salads, itd be no less fattening than they've got going now, and people would get less confused about what hs food really is. On top of that there would be much less of a chance of obesity. Thoughts? -

looking for new end zone cam
CoachVeatch replied to LAKER54's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
Back when we were at another school, we used to just put a camera on top of a lift. The school just let us use it and we didn't have to spend $5,000 on a EZ camera. So there are other ways since some people are so concerned about spending money that's not theirs. -
looking for new end zone cam
CoachVeatch replied to LAKER54's topic in The Indiana High School Football Forum
As far as endzone camera's go we have one called "Hi Rise" It's just okay but I would not recommend. I feel like other people have better setups for the money IMO. Unfortunately Hudl as a company has been making some disappointing decisions all around lately. -

Thanks! Most around here think it's kinda goofy, lookin but we definitely want to keep it. It's actually pretty heavy and cumbersome lol. The only problem with it is our helmet looks nothing like the helmet on the trophy..

Monroe Central and Wes-Del play for the Harvest Helmet. At one point we were the only 2 schools in the conference to have a football team before expansion. The helmet celebrates the agricultural base of both communities. It started around 2010 (MC's first football season). The helmet is 2 sided with both schools represented.
