  1. So, just like Notre Dame football, who is given a top 10 ranking every year despite being a non factor for over 30 years, it is just given. Ok… I appreciate the fact that you are doing your rankings, always a good read, but I have also appreciated you not just following the rest when doing so. Sometimes being original and contrarian is not a bad thing…
  2. My point here is they need to earn their spot, not just be given it.
  3. Crown Point 4 point favorite Cathedral 12.5 point favorite East Central 14.5 point favorite Center Grove 13 point favorite Chatard 2.5 point favorite Ben Davis beat Warren Snider beat Warren Carroll beat Warren Any questions?
  4. Best response you got? Every single one of those teams would have been favored over Warren last year. Facts are facts my friend. Sucks for you to be an apologist for Warren, 0-7 vs. teams above .500 makes it way too easy. Nothing I stated was inaccurate
  5. Ben Davis - Defending 6A state champ, beat Warren last year Snider - Defending 5A state champ, throttled Warren last year Carroll - Beat Warren last year, very good team returning D1 QB, probably favorite in SAC this year Center Grove - Top 6A program in the state last 5 years, lost 37-34 to Ben Davis last year in playoffs or would have had a 4 peat Chatard - Defending 3A state champ, 15-0, beat perennial good Cathedral and dominated 3A East Central - Defending 2 time 4A state champ, top 5 regardless of class last 2 years running Cathedral - Always a state title contender regardless of class, eye test has proven to me better than Warren Crown Point - 6A state runner up last year, would have beaten Warren easily last year There are 9 teams that deserve to be ahead of Warren and that is me coming up with off the top of my head. Keep in mind, while you tout Warren, they were 0-7 vs. .500 or above teams last year. This was really too easy my friend…
  6. I am not engaging in this conversation on behalf of Snider at all. Off the top of my head, there are at least 5-6 6A teams that should be ahead of Warren come your reveal
  7. Where is Penn? Got to be first or second…
  8. Ok, Warren’s 5 wins last year were these: North Central 0-10, 49-17 Lawrence Central 4-6, 25-16 Indy Pike 3-8, 23-6 Perry Meridian 2-8, 49-0 Southport 2-9, 47-0 Record of these teams 11-42 Outscored these teams 193-39 So, I again ask the question, who did beat that was any good? You also said that they would do well in any other conference in the state, well, they were 0-2 vs. the SAC last year…. Listen, last year has nothing to do with this year’s teams, but to say that all of their returning starters and a few transfer adds up to a top 3 6A preseason team is poor based on what they did last year
  9. Ok, I will play along a bit here. Since you state that the most overrated stat is returning starters on a losing team, I will be very interested where you rank a 7 loss team with all those returning starters. If they are even sniffing top 5 in your rankings, me thinks you got some splaining to do. I just went and looked at who Warren beat last year, it would be nobody. They lost to a 5-5 Carmel team as well.
  10. In no way am I comparing Merrillville to Warren, Warren is one of the top programs in Indiana bar none, Merrillville is a paper tiger that has endless D1 players at their disposal and never achieves jack crap. Warren has been gifted either #1 or #2 in 6A preseason rankings based on how “great” their returning talent is and a few transfers. As you stated, they were 5-7 last year so a 7 loss team should be nowhere near the top of anyone’s preseason rankings, they need to earn it.
  11. Warren had the best defense in the state last year???? Am I reading that right? I can only say that Snider had a better defense than Warren did last year and that is both by the eye test and stats. Not sure who had the best defense in the state last year, but Warren is behind Snider in any list. As far as where you have Snider in your top 25, I would assume top 10, but honestly, without seeing what each team has, preseason rankings are really hard to do
  12. Keep in mind, Warsaw handled Carroll easily in Sectionals last year after Carroll beat Warren. Also, Warsaw is 2-2 vs. Carroll in the last few years. It seems to be pretty clear to me that you are on the Warren bandwagon this year, which is fine. It is hard to understand why you think Warren is going to come to Fort Wayne and beat a Snider team that easily throttled Warren on their home turf last year. The way you are hyping up all these transfers for Warren makes me believe that Warren is the South’s version of Merrillville and their 45 D1 players…
  13. If Warren is as good as the pundits seem to believe, they will beat Snider in week 1 and throttle Warsaw in week 2.
  14. I respect Warsaw enough to know that possessions will be minimized and blowing them out is extremely difficult unless that have uncharacteristic turnovers. That is “Bart ball” to a t… Now, let’s clarify right now, I am not calling the upset now, I want to see how week 1 plays out and how teams mesh. History tells me that Warsaw plays ball control very well and possessions are at a premium
  15. Well, considering Warren plays Snider week 1 will tell you whether Warren should be favored by 28 points or it is a pick em game vs Warsaw
  16. Why Warren vs Warsaw? Last year, I would have had Warsaw by 4 points, this year, no clue. Based on hype for Warren, 17-21 points, but games are not won on paper.
  17. Are you surprised?
  18. I dare say, after rewatching that game, Snider was very fortunate to win that game. It shouldn’t have come down to a 45 yard field goal to win the game as the Panthers made some critical errors, but good teams figure out a way to win those type of games
  19. I agree with you on Mishawaka. Very hard team to defend when you don’t play them yearly. I would expect them to make some noise in 4A. I would say that Mishawaka by far gave Snider their toughest game in the playoffs last year
  20. 25. Merrillville 24. Valparaiso 23. Mishawaka 22. Warsaw 21. Noblesville
  21. Looking at their schedules I see the following: Leo 8-1 Homestead 6-3 East Noble 6-3
  22. Leo is pretty good, Homestead can be really good or average, East Noble I think will trend downward this year. Replacing a good coach is never easy
  23. Crap, I don’t remember what happened 5 minutes ago… At least that is what my wife tells me
  24. The Woodson team was great, coaching not so much that year…
  25. Wow!!! Northrop #1 rival of Snider??!! Based on being 1-35 over the last 36 years??!! Put down the dubbage, bro… Luers #2??!! 4-33 makes them a big rival??!! Think you have been sniffing that powerful white powder that was popular in the 80’s… I am with you on Dwenger, but they are sliding down the rival pole recently… I have Sparty higher than you, they have more victories over Snider in the last 10 years than Northrop and Luers combined in the last 35 years. Nuff said… Who the Hell are the Legends?? Weak ass name. Redskins or bust. Anyways, hatred yes, rival, blah… Carroll is at the top of my list now, great team, great program, state contender going forward. Snider and Carroll players both know who the best 2 teams are, just ask them… Love your opinions, just disagree with them…
