  1. Laville will be able to pick it’s score against Bremen, I was hoping that my pessimistic assessment was wrong, but the scrimmage was not a good showing.
  2. From what I heard, Bremen was rough against Goshen, got pushed around, not very physical. Wore down and quick, depth and size will be an issue.
  3. Just make it a intra squad scrimmage, you are not required to scrimmage another school.
  4. 8-10 2 way players are a way of life in 1A and 2A. If I remember right when Bremen won in 94, 9 of 11 were 2 way players. Started a 5-6 155 lb center.
  5. Max Preps has 43, but I know a couple listed chose to work or do other things. Probably 35-40.
  6. Scrimmages allow for more substitutions. So yes, I am fine with scrimmages on August 11th.
  7. No, we already expanded the season multiple times over the years. 2 week camp before scrimmage is a great measuring stick, and then a new week leading up to the first game. No sense in rushing kids back to play in the heat of August. We give up the scrimmage, in a couple years the coaches will want another scrimmage before the first new week.
  8. Back to ND. 9-3 has to be the the bottom for this team right? If they go 8-4 against the schedule with the players they have something is fundamentally wrong or the injury bug hit hard. I want Coach Freeman to succed, he is probably the most likeable coach in my eyes since Lou Holtz. I honestly think we will beat 1 or the 3 big teams on the schedule, if things go amazing there is a shot at winning all 3. I really believe Louisville is a trap game as well as NC State. The State game is before Ohio State and Louisville was a nightmare for Hartman last year, and you know Coach Brohm will have that hometeam jacked up to play the Irish.
  9. Not HNAC, but Bremen is lower.
  10. I was going to say Knox as well. Eventually Radtke will get that ship on track and he has talent with those underclassmen.
  11. Who are the more dominant programs? Jimtown? Baugo has some thing’s quietly in the works. If anyone is gonna sneak up, it’s Riley, and based on last year they aren’t gonna be a surprise.
  12. Bremen admin are host going through the motions, they are fine with the status quo and won’t do anything to encourage kids to get involved. They chalk it up as that’s just the way it is.
  13. I respect this a lot more than others who would rather just not play and partake in bad habits.
  14. You’re not wrong. Sadly in most cases more and more, they just don’t play anything.
  15. No clue, Triton fans say he didn’t decide to play. Bremen has a 1300 yard back from last year, not playing his senior year.
  16. North Decatur graduated some big pieces. I think they take a step back.
  17. I don’t see Triton in the top 10 with their stud RB deciding not to play his senior year.
  18. Agreed on Snider, but once they get to Indy… the metro schools are a different level. I don’t care who the north sends down, if they face a Indy area team, it’s like showing up to a gun fight with a knife.
  19. It’s not a Penn or Jimtown problem as much as it is a northern problem, Hobart to Snider and everyone in between. The Indy metro area is light years ahead of us all.
  20. What is up with these kids choosing not to play?
  21. My nephew will be a sophomore at Bremen, he said Lance Moser will not be coming back for his senior year, decided to not play. That is a big loss in the running game.
  22. I think Bremen will be a good 2A team, but don’t know if it will show record wise. I could easily see them losing to Jimtown, Riley, Glenn, LaVille, Triton, and TV.
  23. My heart sank when I read the news. A great ambassador for our sport. He built a bridge for programs to the fans, programs to programs, and fans to fans.
