  1. For Bremen junior Reece Green should be QB. Tyrus Graverson showed some spark as a freshman at wide reciever. Lance Moser had a solid year at running back as a sophomore, but has to run behind a rebuilding offensive line. Eason Reed is a beef steak wt 6’0 309 lbs.
  2. Bremen is in rebuild mode. The lost a lot of offensive and defensive line as well as having to replace the quarterback. They have some talent at the skill positions but need to find some beef.
  3. I think you have a better shot of selling a catsup flavored popsicle to a lady in white gloves than you would have asking a few of those communities give up their local schools.
  4. Wawasee leaving the NLC would be a gigantic financial step back for them. The NLC is well known for the large traveling fan bases.
  5. Bremen, Glenn, Jimtown, Valley, Rochester, Pioneer, LaVille, Knox? That seems like fun.
  6. I have no insight on Bremen. They graduated a ton of talent. They have a few pieces back, but I look for them to be rebuilding this next season.
  7. Bremen, Jimtown take on Goshen Fairfield. Started this a few years ago.
  8. North Davies was originally moved up because of enrollment of small schools joining 1a bumped them to 2a, not because of success factor. They voted as a team to go ahead and play 3a.
  9. Well deserved retirement. Thanks for all the years of service you gave to the boys in Indiana.
  10. Ben Downey has 7 season at Saint Joe, next season will be 8, but his season has a pause.
  11. Coach Jordan Leeper at Bremen I think. He has 7 years in. Next season will be 8. I am trying to think of anyone else has been there longer.
  12. Everyone always forgets about the German popes.
  13. These are the numbers from Bremen. 9th – 126 10th – 111 11th – 109 12th – 145. Total of 491, so they will be 2A when all is corrected
  14. The 616 students from Bremen is incorrect. DOE has enrollment closer to 510.
  15. Lol, your sarcasm detector needs to be turned up a bit.
  16. Back in my day Plymouth had a stud backfield with two Hispanic athletes. Bobby Salinas and Eddie (Soap) Rodriguez. Eddie was the lightening and Bobby was the thunder.
  17. I believe Oldenburg announced that they were going to focus on JV/C teams for 2 years. They are not set on pulling the cord just yet.
  18. I’m just messing with you, I have no idea what went on. I was 12 years old in 1994. Bremen being in north central Indiana bounces east and west every couple years. Frank has been gone for 25 years, so it isn’t really worth being to bent out of shape over it. I just every so often it gets thrown out there that he rigged the system in the 90’s. I think that is just back room banter from people with an ex to grind.
  19. Good old Frank DeSantis. Fire Up, Fire Up!!! He only gerrymandered the sectional because Bill Sharpe asked him to.
  20. The reason they want to run north south has to actually do more with soccer. If they go to field turf the soccer games would be play there as well, wirh E/W fields one goalie would be staring at the sun. I guess I should of explained the reasoning.
  21. Talked with someone at Bremen which is a 2A school, field turf is way down the the priority list for school projects. From what they said, it may require a total redo of the stadium, the field when laid out in the 50's was put in east to west because that as what they had space for. If they where to do it now, they would want a lay out to go north to south which would require a change in the track and bleacher complex. So don't look for them to do anything any time soon, unless someone wants to donate to a multi-million dollar project.
  22. Multiply things could be at play. They have to adjust the fall count and spring count numbers. That will change a few things in each class. I believe the possibility of 5 classes in other sports could be looked at. Also do we go with unblanced classes and put a hard number on enrollment to be used for delineation of the class splits. The IHSAA has scene many small schools added that have pushed up many traditional small schools up to another class. This could be a fix to that problem as mentioned in the Indy Star article from last week. Another thing could be a change in success factors could be debated as well.
  23. Does St. Joe have people beating down the doors to volunteer to coach football? I think they would take all the help one was willing to offer as long as they were good for the student athletes.
