  1. Years ago, while visiting our grandparents in Green Bay, we went to Mass, and the priest said you know, there is a reason that ordinary time vestments are green and gold. 😉
  2. It was a frustrating game on a number of levels. First, it was another in such a long line of close games that they have not won in sooooo many years now. Second, number of mistakes made on the field that allowed Penn State drives to continue, or ended good IU drives were far too many, as you point out, the fake punt being one of the most glaring ones. Third, it was a HUGE uphill climb. It was frustrating from the start. The muffed punt call was a horrible call. It was clear the ball never altered how it was turning. That leads to a PS scoring drive. The targeting that somehow was not targeting leads to a turnover and a score. Bottom line is IU had to play perfect to not only upset Penn State, but to upset B1G leadership because it would have put an enormous damper on the Penn State Ohio State match up this weekend. To me, that will again be an obstacle against Michigan. The historic Thanksgiving Saturday matchup of OSU and UM has some intrigue now. But if UM loses to IU, it takes a lot of that shine off next week.
  3. Ok...all those are asides, and still do not answer the initial question.
  4. I get it.....but that does not answer the question. Regardless of personal feelings about Mueller, or what has been proven about him, there still have been multiple convictions and even guilty pleas.
  5. You have not answered this when it has been posed in the past. In a hypothetical scenario, let’s say police are investigating a murder. There are a few prime suspects being investigated. In the course of that investigation, police find evidence and details about other crimes those suspects have. Just as an example, one suspect has drugs in his home, another has guns that he is not allowed to have. Should those crimes be ignored because they do not connect to the intent of the original investigation?
  6. If IU is unranked in these rankings, then Penn State is NOT a top 10 team.
  7. I would love to see this guy and Mike Leach in the same room. https://youtu.be/NLN0xUtkFnU
  8. To say he did nothing wrong is a bit disingenuous in my opinion. He admitted it was a family friend he met his freshman year. Interesting description of the person to say the least.
  9. This is great....congrats to the Aces https://103gbfrocks.com/watch-ue-coach-mccarty-comically-welcomes-bandwagon-fans-with-open-arms/?trackback=fbshare_mobile
  10. Thanks for that explanation Bob. I would then contend, that if companies are cutting thousands of jobs, or drastically cutting hours back, are they really good at what they do? While WalMart did record record profits in recent years, the argument could be made they did it on the backs of many of the employees they cut or lowered the hours for. There are also plenty of examples of companies that are run very poorly and yet executives are hauling in huge bonuses. A company that is going through bankruptcy has not been run well, so a judgment could be made that the executives are not worthy of such large bonuses.
  11. In theory, you are correct. Here is a problem that has been around for years, but seems to be FAR more frequent over the last decade and change. https://www.newsweek.com/sears-bankruptcy-stock-kmart-closing-filing-stores-pensions-judge-1262217 I have brought this up before as well. WalMart has recorded record profits over the last several years. Executives are getting huge bonuses, and more than half of their store employees had their hours cut to 30 hours a week. There are plenty of examples of similar actions across the country.m I have long said that I do not believe in forced minimum wages. The theory that it will end up costing us more is correct, but it will ultimately hurt the employees most; all the while increasing the amount of profit the companies haul in, and increasing the insane bonuses executives are getting. What is equally as sad, on the surface, is that courts are approving these types of bonuses as companies go through bankruptcy. Any of our legal experts care to chime in why it is allowed?
  12. I have seen the high pooch kick executed 3 times (K caught it on the fly) in my career and called correctly 2 of the 3 times. Years ago, we used to practice it once a day. We get to the last game of the season and decide to try it. Of course, the flag was thrown. I was coaching a JV game a few years ago and our opponent tried it, and possession was given to them. I tried explaining it to the officials that it was kick catch interference, but to no avail. We saw it on film this year late in the season and it was called correctly. I was not aware of the popup kick rule though. Thanks for posting this.
  13. Oh look everyone....the MASTER of jumping to conclusions fails to actually check facts....go figure. lol
  14. I think he is there to divide that group. It is obvious that he is occupying space in Beta's head.
  15. That game was a LOT closer than it should have been. Soooooo many missed opportunities on both sides of the ball. Missed sacks, missed picks, especially ones to ice the game. And then, points on the board, like at the end of the 1st half. I guess a bit of karma there though, with McCoy making a play to keep them out of the end zone. A win is a win, and the Saints lose today as well. Focus is on the conference race as I think the division is a lock at this point.

  17. This probably belongs in the memes topic, but it could fit here. Coach Orgeron is doing a great job. I have been a fan of his for a long time. But this is too funny to not share here.
